latform to National and County Governments; Superb linkage between development partners, the private sector operatives, civil society organizations; Opportunities for solving triple problems of youth unemployment through creation of Green Colour Jobs;
Objectives
Collectively catalyze and raise the profile of all Green initiatives in the country
Mobilize resources to support green initiatives
Develop a Marshal Plan to guide the GKIT activities
Enable local communities benefit directly from green climate fund/initiatives;
Collaborate with the private sector
Encourage government agencies and the private sector to undertake-Life Cycle Assessment of their activities/supply chain and commit to eliminate the polluting aspects;
Develop a well-coordinated, strategic and sustainable approach to champion green consumerism in Kenya
Activities
Undertaking massive awareness creation and publicity across the country/counties on the green initiatives and their value to humankind;
Establishing at least one well managed community based “Green Belt Bio Carbon Zone (GBCZ)” of more than a million trees in all the 47 counties;
Training of Green Champions to monitor, guard, invest in green enterprises, consumption, installations, etc;
Increasing forest cover by planting trees along river banks, schools, hills, etc;
Establishing an electronic and print data base/inventory of all green initiatives in the country
Mobilizing Green Corporate and civil society organizations to partner, support the initiative
Develop training curriculum for re-tooling, re-skilling training at various levels
Developing Green Assessment and monitoring tools;

Greening Kenya Road Map/strategy (GESIP)
Creation of Green Jobs at various level
Establishing green investment networks and linkages globally;
Provision of modern, transformative and innovative green business models
Develop a self-propelling green economy investment platform-Bonds, etc
Facilitate the development of pro-active green industrial transformation regulatory framework to drive green growth-low carbon pathway for Kenya;
Saturate the market with quality green products locally assemble or manufactured
Enhanced a budgetary allocation across Ministries, Departments and Agencies for deepening the Green transformation
Facilitate the establishment of County based Green Industrial Parks (GIPs) for assembly and manufacturing of green products
Facilitate establishment of Science and Innovation Parks (SIPs)-CENER Spain, RIAT & MOI
Launch and promotion of various green products;
Training of Trainers-Green Champions/Scorpions
Release of quarterly ‘Green National’ bulletins
Mass and print media campaigns;
Green information watch-through Green SMS system
Organizing County based Green Exhibitions;
Organizing Green Competitions:-

Green Champions Awards;
Green Company of the Year Award, etc. Tree seedling development, distribution and planting;

Environmental Restorations in all public places-churches, shopping centres, road side, rivers, etc
