Today, on World Refugee Day, we stand in solidarity with millions of refugees around the world who have been forced to flee their homes in search of safety, dignity, and hope.

Every refugee carries a story of resilience, courage, and determination. Together, we can help create communities where they are welcomed, protected, and empowered to rebuild their lives.

Let us reaffirm our commitment to inclusion, compassion, and the fundamental right of every person to live in peace and security.

WOMEN, PEACE AND SECURITY AND HUMAN RIGHTS IN THE DIGITAL AGE:
Women and young women face multiple security threats and human violations online, ranging from abusive comments to smear campaigns and targeted death threats. Such threats are aggravated in conflict-affected contexts, where women speaking out against conflict are regarded as enemies or troublemakers, making their peacebuilding work more difficult.
