Good evening friends,This week we have been in Kitui for the 4th and final training for teachers handling blind and visually Impaired students. This week was the turn for teachers from the North Eastern Region.

The teachers were trained in how to coach Goalball, blind football and blind chess. They were also trained on mental health and psychosocial support, safeguarding in sports and self care.

This was enabled by the partnership between KESAVI-Kenya Sports Association for the Visually Impaired and Alive and Kicking Kenya in our Tucheze Pia program.

Upto today about 100 teachers (all from different schools) thave been trained and their schools have received goalball and blind football balls donation.

I can confidently say that our younger brothers and sister are enjoying their right to play.

Let’s keep developing and promoting blind sports for the benefit of all of us.
