📚Meet Head Teacher Moses Juma ✏️

Born in Kisumu and raised in a rural farming community, Moses grew up dreaming of becoming a teacher. After graduating from St. Mark’s Teacher Training College in Embu, he began his teaching journey and has proudly served Kenyan students for 9 years.

At Kimelok, Moses’s favorite part of teaching is watching his students grow into responsible, creative and confident young people. He feels honored to play a part in their journey.

Outside the classroom, Moses enjoys family time, reading, music, and volleyball. 🏐. His guiding values: Love • Patience • Trust • Honesty ❤️

We are so grateful for teachers like MJ that love and pour into our students of Kimelok and Helping Kenya Kids every day 🇰🇪!

I am passionate about storytelling and the way it nurtures creativity, builds values and inspires a lifelong love of learning.

As a proud mother of three, two boys and a girl, my love and patience for children continues to grow both at home and in the classroom.”

Different countries. Different teams. One shared purpose 🇺🇸🇸🇻🇰🇪!

Two mission teams, one from the USA and one from El Salvador, are together in Kenya this week to serve and support the work of Helping Kenya Kids.

When people come together with open hearts and a shared purpose, beautiful things happen. Please help us cover them in prayer this week ❤️!

Science comes to life at Kimelok Christian School 🇰🇪!

Our 6th graders explored homogeneous and heterogeneous mixtures through a hands-on experiment. Students observed how different materials interact and discovered that learning is even more meaningful when you can see the science happen right before your eyes 👀❤️!

Today the students of Helping Kenya Kids head back to school for Term 3 📚! There is something special about the excitement of a new term. New opportunities to learn, grow and discover what is possible.

Because of the support of so many, these students have the opportunity to step back into their classrooms to further their education.

Please join us in cheering them on as they begin another term of learning ❤️🇰🇪!

This week, our teachers gathered
for professional learning as they prepare for Term 3 to begin with students on Monday. 📚✏️

We are so proud of their commitment to continue learning, growing, collaborating, and finding new ways to make a difference in the lives of their students. ❤️

Please join us in praying for these incredible teachers as they prepare their hearts and classrooms for a new term—and for the students who will walk through their doors on Monday. We are excited to see all that God has in store for this new season of learning! 🇰🇪✨
