KPCG at the ACARES Phase II Policy Inception Roundtable in Bungoma County.
KPCG, together with Bungoma CSO Forum, Acts for Change Trust, Kimaeti Farmers Association and SOETI, today 31st July 2026, held a strategic ACARES Phase II Policy Inception Roundtable with the County Government of Bungoma at the County Secretary’s Boardroom.
The engagement followed the successful launch of the Bungoma County Agroecology Strategy and focused on moving the strategy from policy commitment to practical implementation through county planning, budgeting, climate governance, farmer participation and institutional coordination.
The meeting was attended by senior county leadership, including Mr. William Makhanu Nasong’o, County Secretary and Head of Public Service; Eng. Herbert Wanjala Kibunguchy, CECM for Agriculture; and Dr. Andrew Wekesa Wamalwa, CECM for Environment.
Partner and civil society representatives included Miriam Kisilu, Climate Justice Lead at Acts for Change Trust; Duncan Omwami, KPCG Project Officer; Ezekiel Odeoh, Bungoma CSO Forum/KPCG Focal Point; and leaders from Kimaeti Farmers Association and SOETI.
Through ACARES Phase II, KPCG and partners will continue supporting Bungoma County to position agroecology as a practical pathway for food security, climate resilience, farmer agency and locally led climate action.
