This World Earth Day, IPO Kenya joins the global call under the theme “Our Power, Our Planet.” 🌍

At the heart of this message is a simple truth: protecting the planet is not only an environmental effort, it is also a matter of systems, security, and shared responsibility.

Through strengthened collaboration between communities and law enforcement institutions, IPO Kenya supports the kind of stability that allows environmental protection to thrive. When governance systems work, forests are safeguarded, wildlife corridors are protected, illegal exploitation is curbed, and communities become active custodians of their natural heritage.

Security and environmental protection are deeply connected. Strong institutions help ensure that natural resources are not only preserved, but respected and sustained for generations to come.

This Earth Day, we are reminded that our power lies in the systems we build and how we use them to protect both people and the planet. 🌱

We conducted a capacity-building session for 150 County Enforcement Officers at the Nairobi City County Inspectorate Training College, focusing on leadership, integrity, wellness, substance abuse awareness, and financial literacy.

Delivered in partnership with LifeCare Hospitals and Arvocap Fund Investment & Wealth Management Strategist, the session reinforced a simple message:

Standards are not optional.
Discipline is not situational.
Integrity is not negotiable.

Officers were reminded that leadership is shown through example, personal discipline is essential to service, and accountability must apply at every level.

Kenya is our country.
Its strength is our responsibility.
Its future is our duty.

One country. One people. One nation. 🇰🇪

IPO Kenya leadership joined the Directorate of Criminal Investigations Nairobi command to honour outgoing RCIO, Benson Kasyoki, as he takes up the same role in Mombasa.

The occasion also marked the welcome of Daniel Kandie as the new RCIO Nairobi, bringing experience and continuity following his transfer from Mombasa.

Transitions like these matter. They ensure momentum is maintained, relationships are strengthened, and the shared mission of public safety continues without pause.

IPO Kenya thanks Commissioner Kasyoki for his service in Nairobi and wishes him success in his new post. We also look forward to working closely with Commissioner Kandie, advancing collaboration for safer communities, and a safer tomorrow.

Following a consultative meeting with the Deputy Inspector General of the National Police Service, the International Police Organization, together with our healthcare partner, LifeCare Hospital, launched a four-day medical outreach programme at Inspector Dispensary Westpark in Langata.

Running from 29 January to 1 February 2026, the programme provided essential medical screening and wellness services to police officers and their families.

Langata, one of Nairobi’s largest constituencies at 196 km², places significant operational demands on officers serving its diverse communities. Supporting their physical and mental wellbeing is not just about individual health, it’s about sustaining effective, resilient policing.

The outreach is open to a policing community of approximately 8,000 officers and dependants, with strong participation expected over the four days.

This initiative reflects a growing shift toward practical, preventative support systems that recognise officer welfare as a foundation for safer communities and stronger public service.

Training officers, mentoring students, and supporting hospitals; IPO Kenya is making a tangible difference in communities across the country. Every programme we run is designed to empower people, strengthen law enforcement, and create safer, healthier environments for everyone.

In 2026, our HQ team is taking this work a step further. We’re exploring ways to expand these programmes, reach more officers with practical training, engage more students through mentorship, and provide even greater support to hospitals and health initiatives. Our goal is to amplify impact, not just in Kenya, but across the African continent.

Change doesn’t happen by waiting, it happens by doing. IPO Kenya is committed to turning vision into action, and we’re ready to scale these programmes to empower more lives, strengthen communities, and build a safer future for all.
