We kicked off with a warm, heartfelt welcome from the Uganda team, grounded ourselves in the values of Safer Spaces because advocacy without care simply isn’t advocacy and heard powerful opening remarks from RHU, CEHURD, Rutgers, and our incredible coalition partners.
But the true showstopper was the Youth Leadership & Advocacy Panel. Young changemakers from Kenya, Uganda, and Ethiopia brought the fire reminding us all that youth leadership isn’t just the future. It’s happening RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW!
We also had the Gallery Walk: a vibrant journey through research posters, storytelling exhibits, and lived experiences. The message was loud and clear young people are leading with evidence, empathy, and unstoppable energy.
