Today, we proudly celebrate a major milestone with our RHRN partner in Mombasa, Dream Achievers Youth Organisation (DAYO), marking 20 years of advancing youth rights and SRHR advocacy!

For two decades, Dream Achievers Youth Organization Kenya has been at the forefront of amplifying youth voices, challenging harmful norms, and pushing for inclusive, youth-centered policies. Their work continues to inspire action and set the pace for meaningful change within communities.

As a valued partner in the RHRN program, DAYO’s commitment to a gender-just society has been nothing short of transformational. Their journey reflects the power of youth-led movements and the impact of bold, sustained advocacy.

Congratulations to DAYO on this incredible achievement. The future is brighter because of your unwavering dedication.

As we reflect on the vital role families play in shaping inclusive and compassionate societies, let us champion policies and practices that support the well-being of all families, regardless of structure, background, or identity.

Together, we celebrate family diversity. Together, we build a more just and united world.

We came, we linked, we learned, and Day 3 brought the 🔥!

Day 3 focused on “Strengthening Resilience in the Face of Opposition”, sparking meaningful conversations and affirming our collective commitment to advancing SRHR in the face of increasing challenges.

Highlights of the Day Included:

🤝 Insightful breakaway sessions on building resilience and navigating anti-rights narratives
🤝A much-needed deep dive into mental health and wellness, anchored by our wellness villages
🤝Heartfelt reflections and celebrations highlighting shared lessons, solidarity, and sustainability
🤝A memorable closing ceremony featuring inspiring speeches, recognition of partners, and tokens of appreciation

We laughed. We reflected. We stood tall. We danced (a little).
And we left ready to shake tables and build bridges.

We’re walking out of this space ready to shape a sustainable future, defend SRH rights, and show up louder and stronger than ever.

Day 2 is in full swing!

Coalition partners are showcasing dynamic SRHR tools, strategies, and stories that highlight the innovation and impact driving our movement forward.

At the Community of Practice Festival , we’re seeing it all:

✅ Booths on digital advocacy, countering opposition, CSE, and MIYP
✅ Bold questions—and even bolder ideas
✅ And yes, competitive booth voting (because who doesn’t love a little friendly advocacy rivalry?)

We’re also diving into tough but necessary conversations especially during today’s panel on the future of SRHR and the evolving challenges in the funding landscape.

Even as policies shift and funding changes, one thing is clear:
We’re also diving into tough but necessary conversations, especially during today’s panel on the future of SRHR and the evolving challenges in the funding landscape.

And in true RHRN spirit, we’re making space for the human side of advocacy with wellness corners, spontaneous storytelling, and lots of laughter between sessions.

Because a strong movement is also a cared-for one.

We kicked off with a warm, heartfelt welcome from the Uganda team, grounded ourselves in the values of Safer Spaces because advocacy without care simply isn’t advocacy and heard powerful opening remarks from RHU, CEHURD, Rutgers, and our incredible coalition partners.

But the true showstopper was the Youth Leadership & Advocacy Panel. Young changemakers from Kenya, Uganda, and Ethiopia brought the fire reminding us all that youth leadership isn’t just the future. It’s happening RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW!

We also had the Gallery Walk: a vibrant journey through research posters, storytelling exhibits, and lived experiences. The message was loud and clear young people are leading with evidence, empathy, and unstoppable energy.

Day 1 reminded us of something vital:

If you were to paint your advocacy journey on our “Living Stories” mural, what moment would you choose to share?

Yesterday, we officially opened the doors to the 4th RHRN Anglophone Regional Linking & Learning Forum in Uganda, and the movement hasn’t stopped since!

Under the theme “Beyond the Hustle: Celebrating our Impact, Strengthening the Movement,” the event brought together youth leaders, advocates, and partners from Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, and beyond to create space for shared learning and exchange.

💥 It’s a stage for youth-led wins in SRHR from 2021–2025
💥 A mic for bold stories, lessons, and leadership that’s raw and real
💥 A launchpad to dream, build, and protect the future of our movement—beyond the program

The vibe is loud, the ideas are flowing from each coalition partner, and youth power is front and center.
Stay Tuned!

Drumroll please...

is officially ON!

The Choice Connector Week 2025 kicked off yesterday in Benin and the vibes are IMMACULATE! The gathering brings together youth leaders from across the globe for four days of connection, learning, and celebration.

We’re proud to have YEB representatives from Kenya actively participating, engaging in critical conversations around Meaningful and Inclusive Youth Participation (MIYP), sustainability, and youth movement building.

The energy is high, the dialogue is rich, and the collaboration is inspiring — and this is only the beginning. Stay tuned as we continue to spotlight the voices and innovations shaping the future of SRHR.
