Every child in this line is a future doctor, teacher, engineer, or leader — if only given the chance.
In Kajiado County, hundreds of children show up every day with hope in their eyes and hunger in their bellies. In the aging school buildings, resources are scarce, long distances to be covered and the odds are stacked against them, yet they come. That resilience deserves our investment.
Through CC4C, we believe that empowering communities starts with protecting the right of every child to quality education. Because a child equipped today transforms a community tomorrow.
Help us close the gap through learning resources, clean and safe water, improved food for education. 📚

Turning Sand into Sustenance in Kajiado

In the heart of Inaudot, Kajiado County, the landscape is changing. Our visit opened our eyes to the urgent challenge the community is facing of Water scarcity negatively impacting livelihoods. During this visit, the community was relying on the last set of wells along a dried riverbed 5km away from the community which has to be sank further on daily basis to get waterwater as narrated by the owner.
They directly use this water for drinking without any for of water treatment. The same source is used to water their livestock putting the community at risk of infections and waterborne diseases. When this well dries up like all others, they use donkeys to buy water a long distance away from their community despite the fact that they have no source of income apart from their already weak cattle.

At Community Connect Communities, we believe that water shouldn't be a luxury, it should be the foundation of a resilient future.
We are excited to share our vision in building Sand Dams, a sustainable solution designed to capture and store water right where it’s needed most. These aren't just structures; they will be lifelines for:
1. Providing a reliable water source for livestock even during the harshest droughts.
2. Empowering local farmers to grow crops year-round.
3. Creating a self-sustaining food system that stands strong against climate change.
By harvesting the power of nature, we are ensuring that the people of Inaudot no longer have to choose between their herds and their harvests.
Join the Movement
Together, we can building more than dams, we are building hope.

Through our Dignihub initiative, our team had the first menstrual health promotion session of 2026 at the Wonders of Hope community and learning center in Kibra informal settlement. The interactive session featured 90 school girls who all received sanitary materials that are greatly needed. In this way, the young girls are able to remain in school with dignity even during their menstrual cycle.

Devastating floods are currently experienced around Nairobi following heavy downpours across the country. Strong community network up to the household level is what makes MAMA Kenya nutrition interventions supported by MAMA Project successful in Kibra informal settlement. Our dedicated team including the Field Officers and Community Health Promoters ensure seamless implementation of innovative food security strategies right inside the community. While there's currently a serious water shortage in the community during this dry spell, our urban gardens can still provide fresh vegetables as one of the advantages of the gardens is that they do not require a lot of water.
As MAMA Kenya team prepare to roll out hybrid gardens in 2026, we conducted spot checks on the previous gardens. The beneficiaries are excited for the upcoming integration of poultry in 2026 for improved household dietary diversity, a sustainable solution to curb malnutrition.

The 30/01/2026 marked a pivotal moment as we came together with our stakeholders for the End of Program Year review. This important activity wasn't just a review but a renewed commitment to serve the communities, improve quality of life through our health and nutrition interventions and uphold human dignity.
We also took time pass our appreciation to the support by MAMA Project all our stakeholders Switzerland, Usahili Art and various health facilities, and program implementers especially the Community Health Promoters for their role in the improvement of our program indicators in the last program year 2025. We look forward to remarkable progress in the new Program Year through team work and shared vision.
