We are on a mission...Why KIJOURNEY KIBEACHY? ( Derived from Swahili word kijani kibichi; meaning green. Coined to spell and demonstrate a green ribbon, symbolically a CP ribbon, that is on a journey to create awareness on cerebral palsy. We shall have an official launch on this powerful movement. Cerebral Palsy Awareness matters. Our director Suzy Wa Cerebral Palsy and the entire team will ensure that this will be in everyone's ears and eyes. Full sensitization.

NNOISE POLLUTION CAUSES SEIZURES.

A very important concern. Let me explain it clearly:

Children with Cerebral Palsy (CP) often have neurological vulnerabilities. Many of them also live with epilepsy or seizure disorders. When they are exposed to sudden loud or continuous noise (noise pollution), it can act as a trigger for seizures because:

Sensory overload: The brain struggles to process excessive or harsh sound stimuli.

Stress response: Loud noises can cause anxiety and stress, which increase seizure likelihood.

Startle reflex: Many children with CP have heightened startle reflexes. A sudden bang or siren can overstimulate the nervous system.

Disrupted sleep: Ongoing noise (e.g., in urban slums, near traffic, or loud music) can disturb sleep patterns, lowering seizure threshold.
