Founded in 2018 by Mark Mwangi, Amitruck addresses the challenges of a fragmented African transport market,by leveraging technology to connect cargo owners with transporters, thereby increasing efficiency, transparency, and affordability in a sector historically plagued by inefficiencies and high costs.

The startup has garnered significant support, including an equity-free cash award from the Google for Startups Black Founders Fund in 2021, and participation in the Google for Startups Accelerator, Africa program.
