This years Mazingira day tree-planting event was a huge success, especially with the enthusiastic participation of young kids in Githurai, kiambu county. It was a joy to see them learn about the importance of planting trees and caring for our environment. Climate education for kids is crucial because it raises awareness, instills responsibility, empowers them to take action, and nurtures future problem-solvers.

By involving children in activities like tree planting, we’re not only teaching them eco-friendly habits but also inspiring them to become advocates for a sustainable future. Thank you to everyone who joined us in planting the seeds of change!

Tekeleza Mtaani CBO is excited to share that today during the Mazingira day holiday, we have taken a significant step towards restoring Gatharaini river by planting trees along its banks. Despite the river's current pollution, our efforts aim to stabilize it's ecosystem, reduce soil erosion, and improve water quality. Each tree planted is a symbol of hope and a commitment to a greener, healthier environment. Gatharaini river is a tributary of Nairobi river and we care about the people downstream.
