Missing Child Kenya is officially a member of the WeProtect Global Alliance. The Alliance brings together experts from government, the private sector and civil society to protect children from sexual exploitation and abuse online.
Kenya is also a member of the WeProtect Global Alliance. In 2022, the European Commission, African Union and twenty governments from around the world joined forces with us to establish a Global Taskforce on child sexual abuse online.
Missing Child Kenya through this membership will endeavor to be a part of cross-sector and cross-border cooperation and knowledge sharing with and between members to enable better global responses to protect children from sexual exploitation and abuse online.

A Research Paper co-authored by our Founder/CEO Maryana Munyendo has been published in the Science & Justice Journal , Volume 64, Issue 2, March 2024, Pages 210-215.
The forensic imaging technique of age progression used within missing people cases: The Italian Missing Children association realizing age progression for Missing Child Kenya.
This was co-authored by Laura Donato , Douglas H. Ubelaker , Luigi Marsella , Maryana Munyendo , Michele Treglia , Jessika Camatti , Sara Dagoli ,and Rossana Cecchi.
Our sentiments of appreciation and congratulation to this formidable team can only be summed up by saying that we are proud to be associated with them and to thank them for helping to put Kenya on the map.

January 13 is National AMBER Alert Awareness Day. AMBER stands for America's Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response. The AMBER Alert early warning system notifies the public when a child goes missing in several countries around the world. It was named in remembrance of 9-year-old Amber Hagerman, who was abducted and murdered in Arlington, Texas, on January 13, 1996. The crazy life of the working parent has created the rising demand for domestic managers. Let’s face it –without these hardworking women, many mothers would be lost. We need a responsible eye watching over the children when we’re held up at work, in a late meeting or running errands.

Four-year-old Brandon Maliba was last seen on December 20, playing with his friends near their home in Tuala.

The young boy went missing on December 20. According to his mother Nancy Sifuna. Identified as Brandon Maliba, the 4-year-old was found dead on December 24.
