Kenyan stakeholders—including interfaith leaders, civil society, youth, and Indigenous communities—backed the call for a global Fossil Fuel Treaty. The Maasai community from Kajiado became the first Indigenous Peoples in Africa to support the initiative, joining 11 Amazonian nations. They urged Kenya to join 16 other countries in shaping a treaty that supports climate-vulnerable nations.
