Not every moment is about wheels… some are about heart. 💛
At Hope Mobility Kenya, we don’t just fit wheelchairs—we build connections, share laughter, offer comfort, and remind every child and family that they are seen, valued, and loved. From warm hugs to bright smiles, every interaction carries a piece of our mission: dignity, care, and hope in action.

Because mobility is more than movement—it’s about belonging. And love is what drives everything we do.
In our community compassion leads the way. 🌍✨

Persons with disabilities are not different; they are part of us.

But, too often they are not welcomed or treated the same in spaces meant for everyone.

At the DBCC conference we are, a platform to learn, listen and build a more inclusive world together.

Date: May 21st & 22nd

Imagine a world where no one is left out, where accessibility is not an afterthought; but a standard.

DBCC Organising Committee Chair Betty Gatere shares a powerful vision of inclusion, dignity, and belonging and why this conversation cannot wait.

The Disability the Bible & the Church Conference is more than an event. It’s a step toward making that vision a reality.

SEEN OR JUDGED?

In this powerful story, Faith Wairimu shares her story as a woman living with Spina Bifida—while taking us along her visit to Hope Mobility Kenya in search of a wheelchair that supports her independence.
She opens up about the challenges she faces in the workplace, where clients often doubt her ability to deliver based on her physical appearance. And behind the scenes, she reveals a painful truth—how people in wheelchairs are too often seen as beggars or simply in need of money, rather than individuals with skills, dreams, and dignity.
This is more than a visit. It’s a journey through resilience, bias, and the everyday fight to be seen for who you truly are.
Are we seeing people—or just judging them?

When understanding grows, inclusion follows 💛
Since the January training in Marigat, the impact continues—one catechist now sharing a simple but powerful truth: everyone needs shepherding.
At Hope Mobility Kenya, we believe the Church is strongest when no one is left behind. ♿

The work continues 🗜️🔩🛠️

Most weekdays this April, we’re in the workshop—adjusting, fitting, and fine-tuning so every chair feels just right. It’s careful hands, shared effort, and a commitment to making mobility more than movement—it’s freedom, confidence, and dignity.

And we’re just getting started…

“Not all heroes wear hats.”

Before the outreach, there’s the heart behind it.
The planning, the teamwork, the shared mission… all for one goal: restoring mobility and dignity.
In these quiet moments of preparation, purpose comes alive, hands working, hearts aligned, and a team ready to serve.
“We are grateful for the gift of service and the opportunity to care for those most in need.”

Our team visited partners in Mombasa and Mariakani earlier this month, marked by exciting engagements with Church leaders in Mariakani, Mombasa County officials, Sahajanand Special School and Mombasa Cement, culminating with the signing of an MoU between Hope Mobility Kenya and ACK Diocese of Mombasa and the MCDT.
