On Saturday 04th July 2026, the Kamashinani Foundation, under the patronage of Meru Senator and Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Sen. Kathuri Murungi, awarded a full scholarship to Ms. Josephine Mwendwa, a student at Nguene Girls High School, during a Public Development and Consultative Forum held at Gitie Primary School in Kiagu Ward, Central Imenti Constituency.

Ms. Mwendwa was identified by the area Chief as a deserving student among the residents who had gathered for the event. Her sponsorship brings the total number of students supported by the Kamashinani Foundation to 241.

The student, her guardian, and members of the community expressed heartfelt gratitude to Senator Murungi and the Foundation for the life-changing opportunity, describing it as a beacon of hope for deserving but vulnerable learners.

The Kamashinani Foundation remains committed to transforming lives through education and creating opportunities for the less fortunate as part of its broader mission of building stronger and more empowered communities.

Following a recommendation from members of the public, Zachary Kimathi, a bright student from a disadvantaged family background, has been selected to benefit from educational support through the Kamashinani Foundation. The Foundation has committed to fully sponsoring his three-year course at The Meru National Polytechnic, giving him an opportunity to pursue his academic goals and build a brighter future.
This sponsorship reflects the Foundationโ€™s continued commitment to empowering deserving young people through education and creating opportunities for those facing financial challenges. We wish Zachary every success as he embarks on this important journey toward achieving his dreams.
