🚨 URGENT REPORT: THE SITUATION OF STREET FAMILIES DURING THE HEAVY RAINS IN NAIROBI
Over the past week, the heavy rains have caused devastating suffering among street families. Many of them had no shelter, no protection, and nowhere safe to run when the floods came.
Sadly, nearly 100 members of the street family community have been swept away by the raging waters. Some have lost their lives and are now in the mortuary, while others are fighting for their lives in the hospital. This has been one of the most heartbreaking moments for us as we witness innocent and vulnerable people suffering in such a painful way.
Despite these tragic circumstances, we have been working day and night to rescue those who are still alive—helping them reach hospitals, providing emergency support, and trying to reunite some with their families. But the reality is that we cannot do this work alone.
We urgently need the support of well-wishers, partners, and compassionate people who are willing to stand with us in this difficult moment. Your support can help us provide emergency food, medical assistance, shelter, and rescue efforts for those who are still suffering.
The Bible reminds us:
“Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.” – Psalm 82:3
And again the Word of God says:
“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done.” – Proverbs 19:17
This is the time for humanity, compassion, and love. When we stand for the vulnerable, we are standing for the heart of God.

It was a beautiful day of togetherness—reminding us that Christmas is not about what we have, but about sharing what we have. Children smiled, families felt seen, and dignity was restored.
