East and Central African Peace Movement [ECAPEM] Since conflicts have become a growing concern within the Great Horn of Africa, we have decided to treat everything to do with peace as we do our health.

Eastern and Central African Peace Movement[ E.C.A.P.E.M] is a not- for -profit, non-political, semi-autonomous peoples' movement that promotes peace by preventing, managing, and resolving conflicts, with great concern for the Great Lakes and the Great Horn Africa. We exist to ensure evolution & development of strong and permanent friendly ties among individuals and hence communities within the target area-majorly the K.E.E.S [Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Somalia]. Mobilizing people to this effect best captures our mission philosophy. Much of our work is based on research and practical applications. However, we have put in place both workable theoretical and practical measures to deal with the current insecurity issues within the target region. Nevertheless, our network operates mainly on a 'silent'/ or 'dumb' mode that entails researching and subsequent 'finger-pointing' of conflict-prone 'states'- Gender, Negative ethnicity, Conflicts & Resistance. But we are, where necessary, obligated to result to 'war' so that they can more readily comply to the terms for peace- As indicated in the United Nations Charter. This we usually carry out through what we have termed as 'referral methodology'.
