Celebrating the culmination of a month dedicated to preparing students for national exams!

Grateful for the journey, we provided study tips and time management strategies. Beyond scores, we instilled hope for the future. Acknowledging the diverse challenges the children we mentor face, we appreciate their positive attitudes as they embark on the next phase of their lives. 📚✨

As a child, do you recall moments when you were wronged? Does that memory still hurt you?

Forgiveness means different things to different people. But in general, it involves an intentional decision to let go of resentment and anger. The act that hurt or offended you might always be with you. But working on forgiveness can lessen that act's grip on you.

We had a session on forgiveness and one case I'd like to share which might resonate with many abandoned children is of a girl who holds resentment of her birth mother and can not come to terms with why she abandoned her. Throughout the session, she was emotional and bitter about forgiving her mother. We will have ongoing therapy sessions for her to be able to forgive her mother.

As parents and caregivers, we have wronged children in their upbringing but many times we never seek forgiveness, which might lead children to resent us.

Thinking back to that childhood anger you held against someone, how different would you have acted if you were the one in the wrong? Could our world be different?

Did you know that s*x education for teens is the responsibility of every parent and teacher? We can provide teenagers with the right information so that they are not misguided through other sources like magazines, friends, and websites. As parents, many of us find it awkward and difficult to begin with the topic.
Sexuality is a significant part of one’s identity. Teens gain knowledge about s*xuality from several other sources, which have a more negative impact than positive. Proper s*x education can not only explain normal occurrences like menstruation and nightfall but also help teens avoid serious issues like pregnancy and STIs. Sexual health education must do more. It should provide young people with honest, age-appropriate information and skills necessary to help them take personal responsibility for their health and overall well-being.
In the month of August, we engaged children in this topic which had a lot of questions.

In the 21st Century, we cannot do without technology. Our lives have been made efficient through technology and at a tender age, Children are exposed to the Internet.

Technology provides a positive impact on youth by helping them stay connected with their friends and family. From text messages to social media, kids can easily stay in contact with their peers, which can help them build relationships and encourage socialization.

Despite the good that comes with it, technology can negatively affect children's developing social skills, relationships, health, and overall ability to focus. This can lead to more children being socially awkward, withdrawn, shy, or intimidated by social situations.

In general, technology use can cause social and behavioral problems in children because it minimizes the amount of time kids spend interacting with others. Make sure to monitor your child's social media use and be aware of the types of websites they're visiting and the games they're playing online.

Self reflection.

When is the last time you had a self reflection?
We are glad to have engaged children to self reflect through an activity known as My life journey.
They were able to respond to the following questions.
1. Who am I?
- Words that describe you
- My hobbies
2. Something (anything) you would like to share about people you consider family.
3. Where am I from?
4. What I want to become?
5. How I want my future to be?

It's interesting of the responses they shared and with the activity we are certain the questions triggered positivity for their future.

Stress is a natural human response that prompts us to address challenges and threats in our lives. Everyone experiences stress to some degree.
Parents and other caregivers have an important part to play, by adopting their own healthy habits and helping children and teens find stress-managing strategies.
The past week we were able to create awareness and helped the children to identify some sources of their stress and techniques of how to manage their stressors.
