Earlier this week, Champions of Hope had the profound honor of hosting our monthly Palliative Community Outreach, proudly partnering with the incredible team from Nairobi Hospice.

It was a truly beautiful and deeply fulfilling day. Seeing our patients leave with bright smiles, feeling genuinely seen, comforted, and uplifted, was such a joy for us. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and compassion.

We want to extend our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated medical team from Nairobi Hospice, as well as our very own Champions of Hope caregivers. Your tireless efforts, boundless empathy, and unwavering commitment made this remarkable day a resounding success.

Together, we are bringing light and comfort to those who need it most.

Yesterday, we held a powerful breast and childhood cancer awareness session at Worship Centre, Dandora, equipping church members with life-saving knowledge on selfbreast examination, symptoms detection, early screening and timely diagnosis.

Early detection saves lives and together, we are spreading that message far and wide.

Our Executive Director was honored to represent Champions of Hope at the @10 Annual Fundraising Dinner which was a truly inspiring evening celebrating impact, resilience, and progress in cancer care.

Graced by Kisumu Governor, Proffesor Anyang' Nyong'o, the event brought together passionate leaders, advocates, survivors, and partners committed to transforming cancer care across Kenya.

It was a beautiful reminder that through collaboration, we can expand access, strengthen support systems, and continue restoring hope to those who need it most.
Congratulations to all the awardees, and thank you KENCO for hosting such a successful and meaningful evening.

In partnership with the incredible Nairobi Hospice medical team, we were able to reach and support our patients with dignity and kindness. Your dedication truly makes a difference.

To our amazing Champions of Hope volunteers, thank you for showing up with such selfless hearts. Your presence brings comfort beyond words.

Seeing our palliative care champions leave with smiles, peace, and renewed strength reminds us why we do what we do.

***Appreciation Post***

On Saturday, love showed up in a simple and powerful way. Safe Place International walked into Champions of Hope Kenya carrying food, but they also carried hope. For families facing cancer, a basic meal can feel out of reach when hospital visits replace work days and medical bills take priority over everything else. This donation means children will sleep with full stomachs. Caregivers will worry a little less. Patients will focus on healing instead of hunger. We saw smiles, relief, and quiet gratitude in the room.

To Safe Place International , thank you for standing with our families in a season that is not easy. Your kindness reached beyond food. It touched hearts.

Our Executive Director was privileged to attend the 7th National Palliative Care Conference held at PrideInn Paradise Beach & Resort, Mombasa last week. It brought together stakeholders committed to advancing compassionate and comprehensive palliative care in Kenya.
The conference provided valuable insights on strengthening community-based care, integrating psychosocial support, and ensuring dignity and quality of life for patients and families facing serious illness.
Champions of Hope remains committed to translating these learnings into improved support for the patients and families we serve.
