RUMYU- Nairobi extends its deepest condolences to Amb. Chol Tong Mayay and the entire family on the passing of his beloved wife, Mama Awut Sultan Guong Majok, in Kampala.

We share in your grief and mourn this great loss with you. Mama Awut was a wife, mother, and daughter of South Sudan whose memory will live on in the lives she touched.

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that RUMYU announces the untimely passing of Ayen Marial, beloved daughter of Hon. Marial Dongrin Ater, former Minister of Finance who is currently under detention.

Ayen passed away in Nairobi after a brave fight for her life in the Intensive Care Unit following a short illness.

On behalf of RUMYU Kenya 🇰🇪 ,we extend our deepest condolences to Hon. Marial Dongrin Ater and the entire family. We share in your grief and stand with you during this moment of great sorrow.

We pray that the Almighty God grants Ayen eternal rest and gives the family strength and comfort to bear this irreplaceable loss.

I respectfully write to your esteemed office on behalf of Rumbek Youth Union (RMUYU) in Nairobi, Kenya to appeal for your kind and urgent intervention regarding Dr. Marial Dongrin Ater, who is currently under arrest on accountability related matters in South Sudan.
As we fully abide and respect the rule of law and the ongoing legal processes, we humbly bring to your attention a pressing concern to the family of Dr. Marial Dongrin Ater.
On April 15, the daughter of Dr. Marial Dongrin Ater suffered on what is presumed to be psychological stress. She is currently admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at The Nairobi Hospital in Critical condition. The presence of her father is vital for emotional support during this life threatening period.
In light of these unusual circumstances, we respectfully request your consideration for bail or any appropriate legal accommodation that would allow him to attend his sick daughter in the hospital.
The Rumbek Youth Union remains committed to the principles of justice. However, we trust in your Excellency's well known compa humanity.
