Today, we are sharing the sixth lesson of 12 feminist lessons learned over the last three years of war in Sudan. These feminist lessons will help us understand that the violence against women during this war predates the conflict itself and is embedded in the DNA of a politically unstable state under military rule. From highlighting the daily struggles of women living in conflict areas and under siege, to understanding how they are organizing, mobilizing, and coping, and most importantly, what can be done to center their voices in peace efforts and in shaping Sudan’s future.

Today, we are sharing the fourth lesson of 12 feminist lessons learned over the last three years of war in Sudan.

These feminist lessons will help us understand that the violence against women during this war predates the conflict itself and is embedded in the DNA of a politically unstable state under military rule. Starting today, we will post 12 feminist lessons learned over the last three years of war in Sudan.

On the final day, we will “call-out” those trying to colonize our peace efforts and share ways to decolonize the process.
