Thogoto Forest Run which happened today was a big success. We as More Done Society say thank you to our partners Kenya Forest Service, Thogoto Forest Family ( Thogoto CFA), PCEA Kikuyu Hospital and Joyce Waiyaki. We would also want to appreciate all who attended todays event especially Athletics Kenya, Hot Paws Kenya, Green Gardens, Rotary Club of Nairobi North, Rotary Club Kikuyu, Ecumenical fellowship, zakies cleaning services, Hearts of production, Rhino park, Cradle to Crayons School and everybody who participated in the event.

Special Thanks to PCEA Kikuyu Hospital for providing us with an ambulance free of charge

We will be planning another event soon and thank you for supporting us.

Thogoto Forest Run committee met last Sunday to discuss on a few details. After consulting Athletics Kenya we had to make a few adjustments. Thogoto Forest Run will be a 10km Run, a 5km Run, and a 3km Family walk. The Run has no registration fee and we thank PCEA Kikuyu Hospital for providing us with a free ambulance. The Theme of the Run will be conservation and mental health Improvement. We will be accepting donations from all our supporters.

The event will be happening tomorrow which will be the 25th February 2023

Today on the 11th of December 2022. More Done Society (MDS) held an official meeting where the team discussed on the best cause of action to help youths pioneer community development and create income generating activities that will ensure self sustainability. Our aim as More Done Society is to create strong, diverse communities that are able to attract and keep talent, start and grow business and overcome issues that arise.

Yesterday More Done Society team had a very successful meeting with International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) together with Thogoto Forest Family (TFF) where we agreed on planning a tree planting event in Thogoto Forest. We also discussed on ways we can help Thogoto Forest Family (TFF) in preservation and beautification of Thogoto Forest

The intention of More Done Society is to organize youth sensitization forums that are meant to sensitize youths about the importance of forming youth groups that will address their mental health issues and also address community concerns. The purpose of More Done Society is to educate, mentor, and remind the youths of their vital role in spearheading community development projects. The goal of the More Done Society is to create strong, diverse communities that are able to attract and keep talent, start and grow businesses, and overcome issues that arise.

Criteria for recruitment

• Must be a Kenyan citizen
• Must be a youth (between 18 to 35)
• Must be a member of a youth group or willing to join a youth group or ready to start a youth group
• Must be passionate about community development
• Must be having an income-generating activity or an idea of how to start one
• Must be passionate about conserving our environment
• Must respect the decision made by the MDS board of directors
• Must respect MDS bylaws and affiliations
• Must contribute KSH100 a month
• Must be ready to become an MDS ambassador
• Must be willing to advance their education
• Must participate in MDS activities
