Today, on International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, we reflect on the stark realities faced by many in Kilifi County, where the poverty rate stands at a staggering 70.8% higher than the national average of 45.9%. Ranked 39th out of 47 counties, Kilifi’s challenges are undeniable, with only 13% of residents having reached a secondary level of education. 📉
Poverty is not just a lack of income; it means fewer opportunities for education, less access to healthcare, and a struggle for basic needs. It affects the growth and potential of entire communities.
