My Rafiki Around The World

My Rafiki Around The World "Connecting Friends Around the African Diaspora" through video programs, events & pen pal exchanges

26/12/2024

My Rafiki Around The World is celebrating the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa.
Kwanzaa is an African- American holiday celebrating our Pan-African diaspora heritage and identity as well as our cultural identity and contributions here in America, using Swahili words & concepts.

Most of My Rafiki families are from East Africa where Swahili is one of the official languages. So, our families from Africa are expounding on the Swahili concepts to help us all practically embody them everyday.

Today's principle of "Umoja" aka "Unity" matches our heart for our cultural exchanges as well as our need to pull together to help support the educational needs of our 38 students.

Can we count you in?
