The boy I’m talking to in the photo is my friend Peter. He’s 14 years old and lives on the streets. Peter comes to our weekly activities, and when he’s sober, he’s a joy to be around.
If you ask Peter his name, he’ll tell you “Panya.” In Swahili, panya means rat. That’s what all the other street kids call him. Peter was born without a chin, and because his face looks different, he’s often mocked and made to suffer for it.
In this picture I’m telling Peter that God loves him and has a purpose for his life. I’m reminding him that God sees him, knows him, and calls him His child. I told Peter he should no longer tell people his name is “Panya”, his name is Peter, and his identity is in Christ.
Please pray for Peter. He’s a tender-hearted boy who needs what every 14-year-old needs: LOVE.

The TRU team and volunteers held the party for women and girls in need, along with their kids. They received clothes, food, facials, and did fun activities. John even helped apply facials:) A huge THANK YOU to everyone who gave to make this happen. This week, events continue with street boys. Please keep praying for TRU's team.

As our team prepares for a week of parties with games, food, and clothing, it is very important for everyone to know that TRU shows the love of Christ because we were first loved. All of TRU's activities are done for the glory of God. Please pray this will be evident to the people that will be blessed this week. We are incredibly thankful for all the donations given that have made this possible. You allow us to be the hands and feet. Thank you to all who gave.
