Over the weekend, Justice Pamoja and the Githurai Social Justice Center hosted a Legal Aid Clinic as part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

Community members, NGOs, advocates, and student law societies came together to learn about GBV, ask questions during an interactive Q&A session, and access one-on-one legal aid consultations with experienced lawyers.

Events like this ensure that everyone knows their rights and has access to justice.

On 27th November, DTSK, UDPK, and CBM Global convened a collaborative workshop to review and refine the Easy Read version of the Persons with Disabilities Act, 2025.

Stakeholders explored the key provisions of the Act, analysed the Knowledge Gap Report, and discussed practical ways to strengthen accessibility so that every person with a disability can better understand their rights.

This work is an important step toward ensuring that the law is clear, inclusive, and empowering for all.

Yesterday, we celebrated World Men’s Day by honouring men and boys with disabilities and the caregivers who support them.
The new Persons with Disabilities Act, 2025 strengthens their voice, guarantees representation, and protects their rights, including employment, legal capacity, healthcare access, and tax exemptions for caregivers.
Inclusivity isn’t optional. If space isn’t given, we must rise and create it.

Our acting CEO recounts her experience at the 2025 African Network of National Land Institutions

"I had the honour of meeting Dr. Turad Senesie who is the Minister of Lands, Housing and Country Planning, Sierra Leone during the October 2025 African Network of National Land Institutions (ALIN) conference held in Freetown. With me is Miss Naomi Lora a senior Lands Officer in the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Malawi.
During the conference that was on security of community land rights, it came out that land reforms in Africa are not a walk in the park. More so promoting community land rights at the regional and national levels requires a champinion. Dr. Turad Senesie has been that champion and has managed to have a National Land Policy in place, undertake legal and institution reforms by bringing together country land actors including the Paramount chiefs who oversee land land management in the community land areas."
