Building Hope, One Conversation at a Time. 💙
Today, HKSAI hosted our Sponsored Students Holiday Check-In & Mentorship Session at the HKSAI office in Kibera, a meaningful day dedicated to listening, learning, and walking alongside the young people we support.
The session provided an opportunity to review each student's academic progress, celebrate their achievements, understand the challenges they face in school, and identify ways we can continue supporting their educational journey.
Beyond academics, we held engaging mentorship discussions on discipline, respect, responsible decision-making, peer pressure, drug and substance abuse prevention, mental well-being, leadership, and making the most of the school holiday.
One of the most impactful moments of the day was the one-on-one conversations with each student. These personal check-ins allowed us to better understand their individual experiences, aspirations, challenges, and highlights from the school term while strengthening the supportive relationships that are at the heart of HKSAI's work.
As the session came to a close, we shared refreshments, laughter, and fellowship—reminding our students that HKSAI is not just a scholarship provider, but a family committed to their holistic growth and success.
