Yesterday in Kibera, we came together for our Back-to-School Feeding Program, keeping SDG 2: Zero Hunger alive through action. 🍲❤️

We were joined by our long-time friends from Huduma Kwa Watoto, Germany, who also had the opportunity to experience Kibera and learn more about our community.

At Soka Samaritan Initiative, we remain committed to ensuring that our feeding programs never stop. Together, we can fight hunger and build a stronger, healthier community. 🤝🏾🌍

Yesterday in Kibera, we came together once again for our Back-to-School Feeding Program, reminding our community that SDG 2 — Zero Hunger must never be forgotten. 🍲❤️

We were honored to be joined by our long-time friends from Huduma Kwa Watoto in Germany, whose continued support has helped make these feeding initiatives possible. For some of them, it was their first time visiting Kibera, so we took the opportunity to share a glimpse of our community through a slum tour, conversations, and stories about the realities and resilience of the people we serve.

At Soka Samaritan Initiative, we believe that no child or family should have to face hunger alone. We remain committed to keeping our feeding programs and community activities going — because every meal matters, every child matters, and every action brings us closer to a hunger-free community.

Together, we can keep SDG 2 alive — not just as a goal, but as action. 🌍🤝🏾

🌸 Creating Safe Spaces, Building Confidence & Leaving No Girl Behind

We had an impactful joint session with The at our Kibera office, centered around an important conversation: “How to Get Your Safe Space and Own It.”

The session empowered our girls to understand the importance of identifying safe spaces, speaking up, setting boundaries, and confidently taking ownership of spaces where they can learn, grow, and express themselves.

🤟🏽 We also introduced basic sign language, equipping our girls with an important skill to communicate and connect with deaf persons they may encounter on the field. Inclusion begins with the willingness to communicate with everyone. ❤️

🩷 To support menstrual health and dignity, we also distributed sanitary pads to the girls.

At Soka Samaritan Initiative, we believe that empowering a girl goes beyond education—it means creating safe spaces, promoting inclusion, protecting dignity, and giving every girl the confidence and tools to participate fully in society.

Safe spaces. Inclusive communication. Dignity. Empowered girls. 🌍💪🏽

Together with Wings of Grace, we reached out to vulnerable families through a feeding program aimed at fighting hunger and restoring dignity. Every meal shared is a reminder that no one should have to go to bed hungry.

At Soka Samaritan Initiative, we remain committed to advancing Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger by supporting communities, promoting food security, and creating a future where everyone has access to nutritious food.

Today, we fed people. Tomorrow, we continue the mission.

Back to school with full hearts and full plates. 📚🍽️

Today at Soka Samaritan Initiative, we shared more than just meals—we shared hope, dignity, and a fresh start for every child stepping into the new school term.
No child should have to learn on an empty stomach, and together, we’re making sure they don’t.
Thank you to everyone who continues to stand with us and believe in our mission.
Your support is changing lives, one meal at a time.

A glimpse into today’s April Feeding Program 🤍🎥

With schools closed, many of our children miss out on the meals they rely on. Today, we showed up for them—with warm food, shared laughter, and love that goes beyond the plate.

Every smile you see in this video is because someone like you cares.

But the need is still great. As the holiday continues, we are committed to reaching even more children—and we can’t do it alone.

Support our feeding program and be part of this impact. Every contribution counts. Every act of kindness matters.

Together, we can keep hope alive. 🙏🏽
