We are pleased to share that CMMB Kenya held its first-ever Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 3rd October 2026.

The meeting convened our board members, the Senior Management Team (SMT), and valued partners, including BMSF, Kwale and Kitui County Governments, CHAK, the Ministry of Health (MOH), and Echo Africa.

As part of our commitment to strengthened collaboration and accountability, CMMB Kenya will now hold a partners' meeting annually.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all who attended and continue to walk this journey with us. Together, we are advancing health and hope for the communities we serve.

What happens when essential medicines for NCDs keep running out?

CMMB Kenya recently sat down with national and county health leaders to find answers. Together, we looked at why NCD commodities—like medicines for diabetes, high blood pressure, and asthma—are frequently out of stock at health facilities in Kenya.

The truth is, there's no quick fix. Every county is different. But we all agreed on what's needed:
💰 Diversified financing
📊 Better data to guide decisions
📋 Clear NCD priorities in budgets
👩‍⚕️ Strong health teams and committed leaders

The best part? We didn't just talk. We left with county-specific action plans to keep NCD care going strong—long after donor funding ends.

Annual Report 2025: A year of progress, captured in one report.

Our Annual Report FY 2025 brings together the milestones, performance, people, and possibilities that shaped our journey as we continued to move forward as one team.

This past year marked a landmark chapter for CMMB Kenya. We transitioned to become an independent national NGO—the Centre for Medical Mobilisation Board (CMMB Kenya)—deepening our local ownership and enabling sustainable, community-driven health solutions tailored to the Kenyan context.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our partners—government ministries, county governments, cmmb, philanthropic foundations, multilateral agencies, research institutions, and community stakeholders—for their vital support and shared commitment to health equity.

We love what we do, but we cannot do it alone. We are better together. 🤝

In Migori County, 58% of women have experienced physical or sexual violence—often by those closest to them. But community paralegal Leah Amoke, supported by CMMB and the Kenya Red Cross, is fighting back. Since 2023, she has handled 28 SGBV cases, secured a landmark 60-year prison sentence for a perpetrator, and helped a young mother return to school after defilement.

Her work proves that grassroots action, backed by the Global Fund and partners like the Paralegal Society of Kenya, can shatter stigma and deliver real justice.

Yet the fight continues—delayed cases, threats from perpetrators, and survivors withdrawing from court remain daily hurdles. Leah refuses to give up. "We should not sleep on them," she says. Watch her powerful story to see how CMMB is building safer communities in Migori—one survivor at a time. 🎥👇
