*_How to Write God-Centered Affirmations & Practice Them Effectively_*
With Scriptural Examples
At Jasiri Warriors we believe healing begins when truth replaces fear. And for us, truth is rooted in God’s Word. Affirmations are powerful, but when they are grounded in scripture, they become more than positive thinking. They become faith declarations.
I began practicing affirmations during a season of deep self-doubt, fear, and emotional exhaustion. Speaking life over myself, especially God’s promises, felt like receiving a warm hug from heaven. Slowly, my mindset shifted. My spirit grew stronger. My hope returned.
This is why affirmations are now a pillar in our *Brave Storytelling* work. We don’t just speak positivity, we speak God’s truth over our lives.
In this guide, you’ll learn:
How to write scripture-based affirmations
How to practice them effectively
Powerful biblical affirmation examples
*1. How to Write Scripture-Based Affirmations*
_i. Start with “I am”_
God Himself says “I AM” (Exodus 3:14). When you say “I am,” you align your identity with who God says you are.
Example:
“I am chosen and loved.”
📖 John 15:16, Romans 8:38-39
_ii. Use present tense_
Faith speaks in the present, not the future.
Instead of:
“I will be healed”
Say:
“I am being healed by God.”
📖 Isaiah 53:5
_iii. Stay focused_
Choose one area of growth at a time—faith, confidence, peace, purpose.
Example:
“I am walking boldly in my purpose.”
📖 Ephesians 2:10
_iv. Keep it simple_
Short affirmations are easier to remember and repeat.
Example:
“I am strong in the Lord.”
📖 Ephesians 6:10
_v. Be gentle with yourself_
Meet yourself where you are. Growth is a journey.
Example:
“I am taking one brave step at a time.”
📖 Psalm 37:23
*2. How to Practice Affirmations*
_i. Choose a sacred time_
Morning and bedtime are powerful moments to speak life.
📖 Psalm 5:3 – “In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice.”
_ii. Repeat them_
Say them out loud. Let your spirit hear God’s truth.
📖 Romans 10:17 – “Faith comes by hearing.”
_iii. Create a peaceful environment_
Sit in silence, worship music, or nature. Invite God into the moment.
📖 Psalm 46:10 – “Be still and know that I am God.”
_iv. Surround yourself with scripture_
Write verses on sticky notes. Use them as wallpapers. Fill your space with truth.
📖 Deuteronomy 6:6-9
*3. Scripture-Based Affirmations for Success*
Every affirmation below is anchored in God’s Word:
I am succeeding because God orders my steps.
📖 Psalm 37:23
I can achieve all things through Christ who strengthens me.
📖 Philippians 4:13
God’s favor surrounds me like a shield.
📖 Psalm 5:12
I am walking in divine opportunities.
📖 Proverbs 16:3
I am blessed in everything I do.
📖 Psalm 1:3
God is prospering the work of my hands.
📖 Deuteronomy 28:12
I am confident because God is with me.
📖 Joshua 1:9
I am becoming who God created me to be.
📖 Jeremiah 29:11
I am courageous even when afraid.
📖 2 Timothy 1:7
I am grateful for who I am becoming.
📖 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Affirmations are not magic words.
They are faith declarations.
They are you agreeing with God about your life.
Speak life.
Speak scripture.
Speak boldly.
Because you are a Jasiri Warrior and bravery begins in the mind.
