✅ Empowering Dairy Farmers in Banisa 🐄🥛

FAO Kenya through European Union in Kenya funded project -
Pastoralism and Livestock Adaptation to Climate Change in Eastern Africa Programme conducted a 5-day integrated Training of Trainers (ToT) for 32 participants (66% women) from the Banisa Milk Producers Cooperative Society, representing 6 member groups.

The training combined cooperative management and business skills with hands-on technical sessions on milk hygiene, quality testing, zoonotic disease prevention, and value addition.

Participants produced ghee, yoghurt, condensed milk, and milk candies—while analyzing profitability to strengthen their enterprises.

All participants are now Trainers of Trainers, ready to cascade these skills across their groups and strengthen the dairy value chain in their communities.

This was carried out under the European Union in Kenya funded .

📍 Next step: engaging stakeholders through a validation workshop to refine findings and prioritize actions.
