Kitchen gardens are proving that transformation does not always begin with vast acres of land. Sometimes, it starts with a small space, local materials, and the right knowledge and support.
These gardens are practical agroecological systems that support year-round food production and stronger household resilience.
Through the Wezesha III Agri-Eco Hub Project, young people are not only taught about kitchen gardens, but they also actively design them, build them, nurture them, and witness the transformation from bare ground to thriving sources of food and opportunity.
This hands-on experience gives them practical, replicable skills for home food production and income generation.
The project cultivates a generation that sees agriculture as a path to opportunity, resilience, and sustainable livelihoods.
