Kenyans are paying more every day for food, fuel, healthcare, school fees, and basic services.

Yet reports continue to show how billions are lost through corruption, weak systems, and poor oversight while ordinary people are told to β€œtighten their belts.”

When money meant for health, education, and social protection disappears, communities are forced to fundraise for hospital bills, drop out of school, and survive without support.

FIA Kenya draws the red line against this.

We draw the red line against looting public resources.
We draw the red line against high taxes on the poor while the wealthy are protected.
We draw the red line against systems that fail the 99%.

Public money must serve the public not a few powerful individuals.

It is time to tax the rich, stop corruption, and fund services that keep people alive.

πŸ’” When you go to hospital and are told β€œno services today,” it is not bad luck. It is bad leadership.

Sh11 billion meant for health insurance was stolen from the Social Health Authority in just six months.Hospitals are unpaid. Patients are turned away.
Families are forced to fundraise for treatment.

Public money must go to healthcare, not corruption.
Health systems must be transparent, accountable, and centred on people β€” not profiteers.
We draw the red line against corruption in healthcare.
We demand justice, accountability, and real access to care for all.

Davos may be over, but the struggles in our communities are not.

Last week, in Kakamega, Vihiga, and Kisumu, our members held online conversations and community barazas where people spoke honestly about life after the headlines fade.

Graduates without jobs. Children missing school because fees are too high. Families avoiding hospitals. Small traders crushed by rising prices and debt.

This is the reality global meetings rarely see.

It is time for decisions made in boardrooms and luxury halls to be brought down to the villages, estates, and markets where people are paying the price.

Our economy cannot be built for a few while millions are left to struggle.

πŸ“£ Keep speaking. Keep organising. Keep demanding better.

While global elites debated AI and distant climate targets, the 99% told them what an equal world actually looks like:

✊ Healthcare that doesn't bankrupt families
✊ Fair prices for those who feed us
✊ Real jobs for youth, not empty promises
✊ Climate action today, not 2050 targets
✊ Tax the rich, not survival
✊ Education for every child

They talk growth. We live the consequences.
Tax wealth. Cancel debt. Fund public services.
Economic justice. Now.

While global leaders meet in Davos to discuss growth, stability, and prosperity, this is the reality many Kenyans are living with.

Higher taxes. Rising food prices. Schools without funding. Hospitals without supplies. Debt payments that come before people. And an economy where wealth keeps concentrating at the top while millions struggle to survive.

These are not accidents.
They are the results of policy choices.

This is why we are drawing the red line β€” against tax systems that punish the poor, against budgets that cut education and health, against debt priorities that starve public services, and against an economy built for the few.

Because decisions made in global rooms shape life in our homes.

And the 99% will no longer be silent.

IT'S TIME TO SPEAK.

Twitter Chat | TONIGHT 7-8 PM

As Davos closes, Kenyans are making our voices heard.

68% of our taxes go to debt, not services. 125 people own more than 42.6 million of us. 17 million face hunger while elites celebrate "growth."

ENOUGH.

As Davos begins, Kenyans are done being spectators.

We see debt grow while services collapse. We see wealth concentrate while poverty spreads. We see decisions made without us.

And we're calling it out.

This is about refusing to be invisibleβ€”speaking up, sharing our realities, and demanding accountability.

Join us. Share. Speak. Organise.

Ordinary Kenyans are taxed at every turn on food, fuel, and basic goods.

Meanwhile, the richest 125 individuals hold more wealth than over 42 million people combined.

This is not a broken system.

It is a system designed to protect wealth and punish poverty.

Davos must hear one clear message tax the rich not hunger.

For millions of families, the cost of living is no longer a challenge it is a crisis.

Food prices are over 50 percent higher than in 2020.
More than 17 million people face food insecurity.

While Davos speaks about growth, households are cutting meals, pulling children out of school, and sinking deeper into debt.

Growth without justice is meaningless.

We demand an economy that puts people first.

Getting sick in Kenya can push a family into poverty.

Public hospitals are underfunded.
Debt repayment is nearly 15 times higher than the health budget.
Only a small share of insurance funds reach public facilities.

When healthcare becomes a privilege, inequality becomes deadly.
Health must be treated as a right not a market.

Most Kenyans work hard, pay taxes, and still struggle to survive.
The problem is not effort it is debt.

In Kenya, 68 shillings out of every 100 collected in taxes go to debt repayment. That money does not go to hospitals, schools, or food security.
When global leaders talk about fiscal discipline, this is what it looks like on the ground.

Debt should not come before people.
Davos must hear this clearly cancel illegitimate debt and fu
