Today, on World Refugee Day, we are celebrating the resilience of 30 million internally displaced persons, refugees, and asylum-seekers in Africa, representing nearly one-third of the global refugee population.

As we celebrate this day, we are also mindful to reflect on the challenges faced by these individuals. It is crucial to recognize the alarming link between their plight and the issue of human trafficking.

Tragically, millions of new displacements have been recorded in countries such as:
-The Democratic Republic of the Congo
-Ethiopia
-Kenya
-Central African Republic
-Ghana
-Nigeria
These crises are often driven by increasing insecurity and human rights violations, creating fertile ground for human traffickers to exploit vulnerable individuals.

✨That's why, as AACR, we seize this opportunity to extend a heartfelt partnership call to all local NGOs, CSOs, and think tanks dedicated to addressing migration and human trafficking in the countries mentioned above. If your organization is actively engaged in this field, we invite you to reach out to us and join our collective efforts. Collectively, we can amplify our impact, strengthen our interventions, and provide comprehensive support to refugees and vulnerable populations affected by human trafficking.
