Into our year 2025/2026 Go Green Movement agenda, its always a joy and delight getting to learn some nuggets of wisdom from those who've gone before us as their mentees and getting to put ourselves out here to actualise the lessons learnt. We are driven by the common saying "Learn by watching and doing"
This year we focus on training and our major hashtag is where we were priviledged to be represented by our Founder and Director Vanessa Ngugi who is also The UON Green Ambassador and The University of Nairobi Geography Students Society Project Director for The Green Conference and Career Fair from 20th to 21st February 2025 where the theme was Energy, Adaptation and Policy and she was privileged to share the Green Jobs available in the current Kenyan Market basing her findings on The Green Conference theme. The "Harmony4Haiti" concert, originally set for September 8, 2024, at Uhuru Gardens, Langata was to raise more awareness and expand participation. This concert and cultural festival, organized by Kenya's Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs in collaboration with the Africa4Haiti (A4H) Initiative, aimed to celebrate the deep historical and cultural ties between Africa and Haiti.
The event featured a range of activities, including performances by renowned artists from both Africa and Haiti, cultural exhibitions, and a theatrical play titled "Arise," which highlighted the resilience of the Haitian people. Additionally, there were panel discussions on the socio-economic connections between Haiti and Africa, workshops on development strategies, and the launch of the A4H Podcast
This concert is also part of Kenya's broader support for Haiti, including its involvement in peacekeeping efforts through the Multinational Security Support mission.
Various NGOs, Community Based Organizations were represented by there leaders and members e.g Green Army, Go Green Movement & Langata Local Water Forum and there was an exhibition display at the site from various organizations like Earth Lung Foundation etc

From Kenya to the World and now in the Asian Continent and Community, its indeed been a blessed two years now since we started.
Highlights
