Our very first Movie Night was a 3 in 1 movie marathon! 😂

Now, we may have slightly overestimated the stamina of our little people. 🤣 Some were asleep before the first movie even properly started! Bedtime is normally 8PM, so their bodies clearly said, “We do not care what special event you people have planned.” 😂😂

They would wake up somewhere in the middle, pretend to watch for a few minutes, laugh once or twice and before we knew it, they were gone again. 😴🤣

But the real soldiers SOLDIERED THROUGH! 🫡🍿

We watched Minions, then Moana, and now we are currently in negotiations about whether we should keep going. 😂 At this point, Movie Night has become a test of endurance!

But hearing that hall erupt in laughter, watching the children sit together with their snacks completely lost in the movies - that alone made every bit of effort worth it. ❤️

So it is official! Movie Night will happen twice every month, and Game Night will take over the other two weekends.

Weekends at Njeri's Kabati just got a whole lot more interesting!
Yes ?yes?

It is the last school term of the year.
These first two weeks are always the most challenging for us as we work to get the children back into school and settled for the term.
Uniforms need mending or replacing, the kids need Shoes, books and stationery ,School fees need to be paid. And most importantly, we have to make sure that every child has a meal while at school.

For some families, these may seem like small things. But For the families we walk alongside, they can determine whether a child reports to school or stays at home.

We are doing what we always do: one child at a time, until everyone is back in class. ❤️ .

If you would love to sponsor a child with some basic needs (Stationery eg book, pencils, school uniform, shoes ,lunch meals, school fees etc please reach out to us.

Help us finish the school year with every child where they belong -IN SCHOOL.
