At this year’s Activista gathering, young women leaders came together to reflect on the progress made, the challenges that remain, and the collective action needed to advance gender justice.

From campus organizing to community advocacy, the conversations reminded us that meaningful change happens when young people step forward to lead.

The work continues and the future of gender equality is being shaped by young women today.

This International Women’s Day, we celebrated the strength, resilience, and leadership of women and girls who continue to shape our communities.

Together with partners and allies, Activista hosted a vibrant gathering of young feminist leaders a space for connection, reflection, creativity, and solidarity.

Through stories, art, and dialogue, participants shared experiences, challenged ideas, and reaffirmed one truth: the journey toward gender equality is stronger when we move together.

To every young woman organizing, speaking out, and leading change we see you. We celebrate you. 💜

This International Women’s Day, Activista brought together young leaders from across movements to celebrate progress, reflect on challenges, and imagine new possibilities for gender equality.

From storytelling and artivism to bold conversations about leadership and justice the room was filled with ideas, solidarity, and courage.

Because when young women organize, communities change.

Young people are not just users of the internet, they shape its culture.

Every post, comment, share, or silence helps decide whether online spaces become places of expression or environments of harm. Digital violence survives when cruelty is normalized and accountability is optional.

Young people have the power to change that.
By calling out abuse instead of amplifying it.
By choosing consent over clout.
By protecting each other instead of looking away.

Ending digital violence isn’t about being perfect online. It’s about refusing to participate in harm and demanding better from platforms, policies, and peers.

Safer digital spaces won’t be handed down, they will be built by the generation most affected by online harm, and most capable of rewriting the rules.

In a world where digital violence hides behind screens, art becomes evidence showing how online abuse, harassment, and intimidation leave real marks on real lives. A brushstroke, a photo, a performance, or a poem can say what victims are often pressured not to say.

Art gives language to experiences that algorithms dismiss and systems overlook.
It interrupts normalization and demands attention where scrolling encourages indifference.

When art tells these stories, it does more than raise awareness,it shifts culture, challenges power, and reminds us that behind every screen is a human being who deserves safety and dignity.

Ending digital violence requires policy, accountability, and action but it also requires imagination. Art helps us see the harm clearly, and once we see it, we can no longer unsee it.
