Imara Young Professionals Leadership Training ✨️✨️
Learning has been significantly improved, and distance is no longer a barrier. As long as there is the space and opportunity to learn, it truly doesn't matter. Today, we had the privilege of having Professor Jonix Knight facilitate a session with our students on the topic of public speaking skills.

The session was highly interactive and thought-provoking, as she engaged our students more profoundly on the elements of public speaking and how they can effectively apply them in their lives.

We are living in a time when technology plays a crucial role, and we have eagerly embraced this tool to enhance the skills of these young, brilliant minds despite her being a thousand miles away🤗

She has conducted this type of lecture multiple times, and each time we engage her, the experience is uniquely transformative for the groups she encounters.

It is always a delight to have you share your insights with our students, Jonix. The skills you have imparted will significantly influence their outlook on life and help them build confidence as they confront their fears.

A journey of transformation (Imara Young Professionals Leadership Training)
It is always inspiring to witness individuals who have previously completed the program return to share their experiences and the transformative moments that resulted from the skills acquired through Imara Young Professionals Leadership Training.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming two remarkable alumni, Cynthia and Bên Brandon , who participated in the program three years ago. They joined the current cohort for a meaningful interaction. During the sharing and learning session, the current participants were encouraged to remain resilient in their pursuit of uniqueness and to commit to the changes they wish to see in their lives. This is the essence of life skills training.

Brandon has become an electrical engineer, primarily focusing on solar installation and electrical wiring and runs his own company. His passion for this field was ignited when he joined the program, and the foundational training he received in solar installation allowed him to further develop his skills.

Cynthia is now employed at a local college that recognized her potential while she was in our programs; she currently works as both an accountant and a chef at the same institution where she studied.

Leadership and Good Governance
Real leadership begins with knowing who you are.

Today, our ex-CANs took part in an inspiring leadership and good governance training facilitated by Pastor Shiyuka M Felix Before discussing leadership, the session focused on something even more important—helping each young person discover their identity, understand their purpose, recognize their value, and believe in their potential.

The message was simple yet powerful: when young people know who they are and appreciate their worth, they are better prepared to lead with confidence, integrity, and compassion.

Building on this foundation, Pastor Felix shared practical lessons on servant leadership, ethical decision-making, accountability, teamwork, and good governance from a biblical perspective. The discussions challenged participants to become leaders who serve others, uphold strong values, and make a positive impact within their families, workplaces, and communities.

We sincerely thank Felix for generously sharing his wisdom and experience. Every investment in young people is an investment in a stronger, more responsible, and more hopeful future.

Through urban planning training, we guide our youths to discover their , develop their , and become professionals who design safer, greener, more inclusive, and . Every skill learned today contributes to that are prepared for tomorrow.

Checking In Matters: Mental Health & Spiritual Well-being

Empowering young people goes equipping them with technical and employability skills. It also means creating where they can talk, be heard, and find strength for the journey ahead.

Last week, we took time to check in on the and of our youth, reminding them that it is okay to ask for help, share their struggles, and support one another. A , a hopeful spirit, and a positive outlook are essential for , , and long-term .

Day 5 – Grand Finale: Bringing It All Together with a Fully Functional 5kW Solar PV System

After five days of intensive learning, hands-on practice, and teamwork, our Solar Installation Training reached an exciting conclusion.

Throughout the week, participants learned about each component of a solar power system—from solar panels and batteries to inverters, cabling, protection devices, and switchboards. They mastered installation techniques, electrical connections, safety procedures, and system troubleshooting.

On the final day, it was time to put all that knowledge into action.

Working together, the trainees assembled and integrated every component into a complete 5kW Solar PV system. Step by step, they connected the solar array, battery bank, inverter, and AC distribution system, carefully applying the skills they had gained throughout the training.

Before energizing the system, the team conducted thorough safety inspections, verified electrical connections, checked voltage and polarity, tested continuity, and ensured all protection devices were functioning correctly. Once everything was confirmed, they commissioned the inverter, configured the necessary settings, and successfully powered up the system.

The moment the system came to life was a proud achievement for everyone involved. It demonstrated how every lesson learned during the week—from making secure cable terminations and crimping connectors to taking accurate measurements and following safety protocols—contributes to building a reliable and efficient solar energy solution.

More than just completing a practical exercise, the trainees gained a deeper understanding of how individual components work together as one integrated system. They leave the workshop with valuable hands-on experience, increased confidence, and practical skills that can open doors to employment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable energy opportunities.
