Everything we do is rooted in community but community can mean different things to different people. For some, it’s about support. For others, it’s about shared growth, belonging, or collective action.

A safe and stable home creates a ripple effect restoring dignity, improving health, strengthening family bonds, and giving children a better environment to grow and thrive.

At the Lillian Ngala Foundation, every home we help build represents more than shelter. It is a foundation for renewed hope, stability, and opportunity, not just for a family, but for the entire community around them. Together, we are creating spaces where families can live with dignity and dream bigger for their future.

The construction of a safe, dignified home has been successfully completed and officially handed over to Mama Cynthia Anyango of Magare Village, North Kanyabala Location, Homabay Town Sub-county. Moments like these remind us that community development is not just about structures. It’s about restoring hope, dignity, and security for families.
Watching walls rise, a roof come together, and a life transform is why we do the work. To our dedicated team and the incredible supporters of the Lillian Ngala Foundation, thank you for standing with us and making sustainable impact possible.

Let’s continue to show up, build, feed, and uplift our communities where it matters most.

Tuesday Throwback!

We’re taking a moment this Tuesday to look back at the Lillian Ngala Foundation Tournament held last December at Kiabuya Primary School.
Moments like these remind us that even small, local efforts can create big smiles and lasting impact in our communities 💛

Here’s to carrying this same spirit of joy, teamwork, and community into the week ahead.

If you could change or improve just one thing in your community this year, what would it be?
At Lillian Ngala Foundation, we believe real change starts by listening to the people who live it every day. Your voice matters here.

Research shows that safe, stable housing plays a critical role in improving children’s health, education, and long-term economic outcomes. When families have a dignified place to call home, it helps break cycles of vulnerability and creates positive ripple effects that can extend across generations. This is how lasting change is built — through stability, dignity, and community.

Today, the Lillian Ngala Foundation has brought joy and renewed hope to Kakondi Village, Kamagawi Sub-location, West Gem Ward in Rangwe Constituency with the successful completion and handover of House Number 107 under the Ondoa Nyasi program. The beneficiary, Mama Salina Otieno Oketh, a widow and PWD, had lived in a dilapidated house for over 30 years before receiving a safe and dignified home.

This milestone reflects the Foundation’s continued commitment to restoring dignity and uplifting the most vulnerable through compassion, community support, and purposeful action. It’s a legacy, not charity.

Compassion in action.
Lillian Ngala Foundation spent time in Kanjira, Rachuonyo North, standing with the community and restoring hope where it matters most. A new home was built for Mama Phoebe Juma, who lives with disability, a powerful reminder that dignity, care, and humanity can change lives.

This is what it means to show up, serve, and uplift the most vulnerable among us.

In a world driven by urgency, it’s easy to equate impact with speed. A meal served, a bill paid, a crisis eased. These moments matter, but they are only the starting point.

Short-term help addresses immediate needs. Sustainable impact changes systems.

At the Lillian Ngala Foundation, we believe lasting change is measured by what remains long after the intervention ends. It’s the shift from relief to resilience, from dependency to dignity. It’s about empowering people with skills, ownership, and opportunity, not just resources.

True impact takes time. It requires intention, partnership, and a commitment to solutions that communities can sustain on their own.

Because real change isn’t just about helping today, it’s about strengthening tomorrow. Let’s build solutions that last.

Another life changed. Another dignity restored.
In Kamgere Village, Rusinga Island - Suba North Constituency, Director Lillian Ngala has once again walked the talk by building a house for Mama Lucy Okoth's family, turning compassion into concrete impact.
This is leadership beyond words.
This is empowerment without titles.
Suba North is feeling the impact🔥🔥
