Today we mourn the brutal and senseless killing of Simon Isiaho Shange. Shange was not just a name. He was an alumnus of Nyang'ori Boys High School and a devoted educator who served his pupils and colleagues as a teacher, Director of Studies and Deputy. His life was dedicated to shaping young minds; the violence he suffered is an affront to our community and our values.
He was currently serving as the Principal of Munyuki Secondary school in Lugari.
We are shocked, grieving, and furious.
This was torture and murder, by people with the darkets hearts. We demand answers! We call on the authorities to launch an immediate, transparent investigation and to bring those responsible to justice. We will not let this go unanswered or fade into silence. Shange deserves more than our grief; he deserves accountability. May he rest in peace. We promise to pursue the truth for him to the end.
