d initiatives aimed at empowering young people to reach their full potential. Mission Statement:
Sisbros Foundation is committed to building resilient youth communities through education, empowerment, and social initiatives. Our mission is to foster positive socio-economic change by addressing pressing issues and promoting sustainable development. Our Vision:
Sisbros envisions a world where youth are empowered, educated, and interconnected, fostering an environment of social harmony and prosperity for all. ACTIVITIES:
a) To empower youths to grow, learn and be the torchbearers for the future

c) To inculcate a culture of entrepreneurship and financial literacy among the youth

🎓 FROM TRAINING TO TRANSFORMATION: COHORT ONE 2026 BEGINS THEIR INTERNSHIP JOURNEY! 🌟

Last month marked an important milestone as our Cohort One 2026 sponsored youth successfully completed their vocational training examinations and transitioned into a three-month internship programme.

We are proud to celebrate:

✂️ 30 youth in Hairdressing and Beauty
🧵 10 youth in Tailoring and Dressmaking
🍽️ 15 youth in Food Production and Service

Through hands-on training, practical examinations and workplace exposure, these young people are now better prepared to apply their skills, gain valuable work experience and contribute meaningfully to Kenya’s social and economic development.

Skills development is more than learning a trade—it is a pathway to dignity, independence, opportunity and hope. By equipping young people with employable and entrepreneurial skills, we are helping to reduce poverty and unemployment while creating opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.

Economic empowerment can also strengthen young people’s ability to make informed choices, build confidence and reduce vulnerabilities that may contribute to gender-based violence (GBV). Meaningful work, supportive learning environments and opportunities for self-reliance can further promote a sense of purpose, belonging and positive mental well-being among young people.

As our trainees begin their internship journey, we look forward to seeing them grow into skilled professionals, entrepreneurs, job creators and community change-makers.

🌟 Strengthening Partnerships, Enhancing Impact! 🌟

On Monday and Tuesday, we had the privilege of participating in the Nairobi Regional CBO Performance Review and Capacity Strengthening Meeting, bringing together Community-Based Organizations across Nairobi that partner with Tiko in advancing youth sexual and reproductive health.

Over the two days, we reflected on the impact we have collectively created during the first half of 2026, reviewing our performance, sharing lessons learned, and exchanging best practices that continue to strengthen our work within communities.

The meeting also focused on enhancing accountability and building the capacity of partner organizations to improve:
✅ Community mobilization
✅ Youth access to quality SRH services
✅ Repeat service utilization
✅ Overall programme performance

As we look ahead to the second half of 2026, we are inspired and better equipped to deepen our reach, strengthen collaboration, and ensure more young people have access to life-changing sexual and reproductive health information and services.

**Empowering Young Leaders to Champion SRHR! 🌍💙**

Last Friday and Saturday, we successfully trained a new cohort of **Peer Educators** who will play a vital role in advancing youth sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) within our communities.

Through the **LifeYangu Academy**, these young champions gained accurate, youth-friendly SRHR knowledge that will enable them to educate, support, and inspire their fellow young people to make informed decisions, protect their health and wellbeing, and understand their rights. The training covered six comprehensive SRHR modules, equipping participants with practical skills to navigate peer pressure, reduce health risks, recognize and respond to unsafe situations, make responsible life choices, and confidently access accurate health information and quality services.

This initiative strengthens our collective efforts to tackle the **Triple Threat**—new HIV infections, unintended pregnancies, and sexual and gender-based violence—by empowering young people to become trusted sources of information and positive change within their communities.

A heartfelt thank you to **YSW Kenya** for partnering with us in building a generation of informed, confident, and empowered youth who are leading change from within.

Last Friday, Sisbro of Zion proudly participated in the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) Regional Youth Forum held in Uasin Gishu County, where our Youth Champion joined over 1,500 young leaders from across Kenya in a vibrant gathering dedicated to shaping a better future for young people and communities.

🌟 Empowering Youth for a Brighter Future! 🌟

At Sisbro Youth Empowerment Centre, our monthly informative Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) session focuses on empowering young people with knowledge and life skills for a better future.

The session covers:
✅ How to prevent early and unintended teenage pregnancies
✅ Understanding modern youth relationships
✅ The importance of contraceptives in family planning and informed decision-making
✅ Identifying healthy and unhealthy relationships
✅ Building self-esteem, responsibility, and positive life choices

At Sisbro Foundation, we believe that youth empowerment goes beyond health education. We combine both social and economic development initiatives to equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need to achieve sustainable development and reach their full potential.

🌍 Advancing Youth Voices, Strengthening Systems: Day One at the 9th RHNK Conference 2026

Today marked the official opening of the 9th RHNK Conference 2026, bringing together youth leaders, policymakers, researchers, community organizations, development partners, and advocates committed to improving the lives of adolescents and young people across Africa.

The opening ceremony set the tone for critical conversations around strengthening systems that protect girls and young women from the Triple Threat of unintended teenage pregnancy, HIV, and gender-based violence. Discussions emphasized the importance of meaningful youth engagement, community-led solutions, sustainable financing, and partnerships that create lasting impact.

As Sisbros Foundation, we are honored to be part of these important conversations and spaces where youth voices are not only heard but actively shaping solutions for healthier, safer, and more empowered communities.

We look forward to sharing lessons, learning from others, and strengthening collaborations that move us closer to a future where every young person can achieve their full potential.
