🌟 Empowering Youth for a Brighter Future! 🌟

At Sisbro Youth Empowerment Centre, our monthly informative Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) session focuses on empowering young people with knowledge and life skills for a better future.

The session covers:
✅ How to prevent early and unintended teenage pregnancies
✅ Understanding modern youth relationships
✅ The importance of contraceptives in family planning and informed decision-making
✅ Identifying healthy and unhealthy relationships
✅ Building self-esteem, responsibility, and positive life choices

At Sisbro Foundation, we believe that youth empowerment goes beyond health education. We combine both social and economic development initiatives to equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need to achieve sustainable development and reach their full potential.

When young people are informed, empowered, and supported, they make better decisions, protect their futures, and contribute positively to their communities.

💡 An informed youth is an empowered youth, and an empowered youth has a bright future.

🌍 Advancing Youth Voices, Strengthening Systems: Day One at the 9th RHNK Conference 2026

Today marked the official opening of the 9th RHNK Conference 2026, bringing together youth leaders, policymakers, researchers, community organizations, development partners, and advocates committed to improving the lives of adolescents and young people across Africa.

The opening ceremony set the tone for critical conversations around strengthening systems that protect girls and young women from the Triple Threat of unintended teenage pregnancy, HIV, and gender-based violence. Discussions emphasized the importance of meaningful youth engagement, community-led solutions, sustainable financing, and partnerships that create lasting impact.

As Sisbros Foundation, we are honored to be part of these important conversations and spaces where youth voices are not only heard but actively shaping solutions for healthier, safer, and more empowered communities.

We look forward to sharing lessons, learning from others, and strengthening collaborations that move us closer to a future where every young person can achieve their full potential.

Together, we move beyond conversations into action.

🌸 Breaking Barriers, Restoring Dignity: Over 360 Young People Reached Through Our Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026 Outreach🌸

On Thursday, 28th May 2026, Sisbro Foundation together with our valued partners and local health facilities successfully commemorated Menstrual Hygiene Day through a community Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) outreach in Mukuru.

Over 350 adolescents and young people accessed youth-friendly SRH services, contributing towards efforts to reduce the triple threat of HIV infections, early unintended pregnancies, and Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) among young people.

As we celebrated menstrual dignity and raised awareness on ending period poverty, young people participated in interactive SRH education sessions covering HIV prevention, STI awareness, contraception, menstrual hygiene management, mental health, and healthy life choices. It was inspiring to see many young people turn up, engage, learn, and seek services.

A key highlight of the day was screening the Desperate Souls video series by Imara TV, which sparked powerful conversations around the triple threat challenges affecting many young women today — early unintended teenage pregnancies, HIV infections, and GBV. The sessions created space for reflection, dialogue, and empowerment among the young people present.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Njenga Chief for taking time to join us and celebrate this important day with young people in the community. Your presence and support continue to strengthen community-led solutions for youth wellbeing.

This outreach would not have been possible without the support and partnership of our incredible partners and service providers. We sincerely appreciate:

• Tiko Kenya
• YSW Kenya
• Nairobi County Government
• Kware Dispensary
• Vebenezer Health Centre
• Eastmark Hospital
• Jolisa Medical Centre

Together, we brought services closer to young people and created opportunities for access to information, care, and support.

Empowered Girls. Healthy Youth. Strong Communities. We Rise Together! 💜

🌟 HOSTING A MILESTONE FOR YOUTH TRANSFORMATION 🌟

We are proud to have hosted the official launch of the YSW Kenya Strategic Plan 2026–2030 Nairobi chapter within our region, a powerful step forward in strengthening coordinated action for adolescent and youth wellbeing.

On behalf of Sisbros Foundation, we warmly congratulate YSW Kenya on this bold and forward-looking strategic framework that will guide impactful work over the next five years.

This Strategic Plan is especially significant for young people because it directly speaks to the interconnected challenges affecting them today — including sexual and reproductive health (SRH), HIV prevention, sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), mental health, and youth livelihoods.

For us, this launch is a reminder that real impact requires integration and alignment. When SRH services, protection systems, skills development, and economic empowerment are linked together, young people are better equipped to make informed choices, stay safe, and build meaningful futures.

A strong strategic plan is not just a document — it is a roadmap that brings partners together, strengthens coordination, and ensures that no young person is left behind.

As Sisbro, we remain committed to working alongside YSW Kenya, government institutions, CSOs, and community structures to ensure that youth voices are heard, youth needs are prioritized, and youth potential is fully realized.

Together, we move stronger. Together, we build safer, healthier, and more empowered communities for young people.

🌟 Empowering Youth for Economic Stability! 🌟

Last week, Sisbro Foundation, in partnership with SHOFCO, successfully engaged our current vocational training students in an intensive Entrepreneurship and Employability Training Program designed to prepare them for life beyond the classroom.

Throughout the week, our young people gained practical knowledge and life-changing skills through:

📌 Day 1 – Personal Development
📌 Day 2 – Entrepreneurship
📌 Day 3 – Financial Literacy
📌 Day 4 – Business Incubation & Management
📌 Day 5 – Employability Skills, CV Writing & Cover Letter Preparation

As these youth approach the completion of their vocational training this June, we are committed to ensuring they are fully prepared to transition into the job market, secure meaningful employment, and start their own Income Generating Activities (IGAs).

At Sisbro Foundation, we believe that youth development is the surest pathway to economic stability, dignity, and sustainable community transformation.

With the youth, for the youth. 💙

🌍 WITH THE YOUTH, FOR THE YOUTH COMMUNITY OUTREACH

On 24th April, SisBro Foundation, in partnership with Tiko and Mukuru Health Centre, successfully conducted a community outreach/in-reach Public-Private Partnership in Mukuru—bringing together private health facilities to expand access to youth-friendly services.

Through this initiative, over 300 young people accessed free Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services, marking a powerful step toward healthier and empowered youth communities.

🎯 Our Goal
To reduce the prevalence and impact of the triple threat—unintended teenage pregnancy, HIV infections, and Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV)—among young people in Mukuru.

📌 Key Objectives of the Outreach
• Increase awareness and uptake of Family Planning (FP) services among youth aged 15–24 years
• Promote HIV prevention, testing, and linkage to care
• Conduct SGBV screening and provide referrals for appropriate support services
• Strengthen collaboration between the community and youth-friendly health service providers

💡 Why this matters:
This outreach directly contributes to reducing early and unintended pregnancies, lowering HIV infections among youth, and ensuring that SGBV survivors receive the care, support, and referrals they need—all while strengthening trust between young people and health systems.

🙏 We extend our sincere appreciation to our partners:
Tiko, Mukuru Health Centre, Embakasi South Sub-County Health Department, Vebeneza Health Centre, Jolisa Health Centre, Jamii Hospital, and all our dedicated community mobilizers for their commitment and collaboration.

Together, we are building a future where every young person has access to the knowledge, services, and support they need to thrive.
