🔥🌳 A New Chapter Blossoms in Samburu! 🌳🔥
Our first Nandi Flame tree has officially matured at Wamba Sub-County Hospital — a bright, fiery symbol of survival and heritage among the thousands of seedlings that pushed through with an amazing 89% success rate.
The Nandi Flame (Spathodea campulata) isn’t just a beautiful tree; in many communities, including the Nandi, it carries deep traditional significance — a symbol of protection, blessing, and renewal. And now, it stands proudly as a torch of hope for patients, families, and the youth shaping this journey.
In our Eco Greenlife Global Samburu Chapter, we call this landscape-in-the-making the Mathew Ranges Ecosystem— a youth-powered green revival. 🌱✨
At its heart, something special is rising:
a 14-species Indigenous & Medicinal Botanical Garden, blended with fruit trees to create calming, restorative green spaces where patients can heal, breathe, and recapture peace.
In the Samburu language, this healing garden will be known as “Njiunoto Engop Nanyorii.”💚🍃
This is youth energy in action.
This is community.
This is regeneration with meaning.
