A Special Visit to the Tanzania Organic Agriculture Movement - TOAM Booth at Nane Nane 2026

The Tanzania Organic Agriculture Movement (TOAM) was privileged to host Former Prime Minister of Tanzania, Hon. Mizengo Peter Pinda, at its exhibition booth during the ongoing Nane Nane Agricultural Exhibition.

Hon. Pinda visited the booth to learn more about how ecological organic agriculture stakeholders are working together to promote sustainable farming, improve farmer livelihoods, and strengthen food systems in Tanzania.

As the Country Implementing Partner for the Knowledge Centre for Organic Agriculture and Agroecology in Eastern Africa (KCOA-KHEA), TOAM continues to create opportunities for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and innovation through platforms such as Nane Nane.

We appreciate this recognition and remain committed to working with farmers, partners, and policymakers to advance ecological organic agriculture for a more resilient and sustainable future.

TOAM Showcasing Agroecology Solutions at Nane Nane 2026 🇹🇿

The Tanzania Organic Agriculture Movement - TOAM (TOAM) is participating in Nane Nane 2026, Tanzania’s premier agricultural exhibition, bringing together farmers, agricultural organisations, innovators, and partners to celebrate progress and innovations in agriculture.

As the Country Implementing Partner (CIP) for the Knowledge Centre for Organic Agriculture and Agroecology in Africa (KCOA) project - KHEA Hub, TOAM continues to promote organic agriculture and agroecological approaches that support sustainable production, biodiversity, climate resilience, and improved farmer livelihoods.

At Nane Nane, TOAM is engaging with farmers, sharing knowledge, and highlighting the importance of sustainable farming practices for a healthier environment and future generations.

The Knowledge Hub for Eastern Africa (KHEA), through the KCOA Project under the lead coordinating agency Biovision Africa Trust and PELUM Uganda, is proud to be part of the FARA Agribusiness and Science Week ( ), taking place from 27–30 July 2026 at the Abuja Continental Hotel, Nigeria.

Day 1 | 3rd National Agroecology Symposium Kenya 🇰🇪

Some of the few highlights of Day 1 of the 3rd National Agroecology Symposium Kenya that has brought together farmers, researchers, policymakers, development partners, civil society, private sector actors and other food systems stakeholders at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies, Nairobi, for meaningful conversations on advancing agroecology in Kenya and beyond.

As a proud partner of the Symposium, Biovision Africa Trust (BvAT) though the KHEA Project joined stakeholders in exploring practical pathways to transform food systems through agroecology, innovation, knowledge sharing and stronger partnerships.

The day featured insightful discussions, knowledge exchange and networking around the opportunities and challenges shaping the transition towards resilient, sustainable and inclusive agrifood systems.

From the conversations in the rooms to the innovations and solutions showcased, Day 1 reinforced an important message: transforming our food systems requires collective action and solutions that put farmers and communities at the centre.

Through farmer training and follow-up, Joy has supported farmers to establish organic home gardens, produce natural farm inputs, improve household nutrition, and embrace safer farming practices.

Her story shows how knowledge can move from training rooms into homes and communities, creating healthier and more sustainable food systems.
