Maono Africa Center For Transformation

We were thrilled to host Steve Beck, President of the New Africa Fund, for an impactful day at Maono Africa! 🌍🤝
Our discussions centered on advancing local innovation and driving sustainable community development. As part of the visit, Steve engaged directly with key local stakeholders at the Sub-County Headquarters—meeting with our Deputy County Commissioner (DCC), Child Protection Officer, and the Registration Department to discuss holistic community support. 🏛️📋
To wrap up a fantastic day, we took a trip to Big Jimmy’s Barbershop, where Steve experienced our local entrepreneurial ecosystem firsthand and got a sharp, clean cut! 💈✂️✨.
Thank you, Steve, for your visionary leadership, hands-on approach, and dedication to grassroots impact. 🚀📈

What happens when children are given the knowledge, confidence, and space to use their voices? ✊🏾💜

You get young champions who begin to see themselves not just as children who need protection, but as children with rights, voices, and the power to influence change.

We’re incredibly proud of our Maono - Legal Club champions who recently visited the National Assembly 🇰🇪 to gain practical understanding of the arms of Government and how laws are made.

These experiences go beyond educational visits, they create opportunities for children to recognize their ability to question injustice, seek help, speak up for others, and imagine a different future.

It’s not just about preparing them for tomorrow. It’s about giving them a voice today. 🗣️🌍

Moments worth celebrating! ❤️✨

As we commemorate the Day of the African Child, Maono Africa Center for Transformation, together with fellow NIA partners, gathered at the Kenya National Archives to raise awareness about the hidden realities of child domestic work.

Through the unveiling of a symbolic monument, the campaign sought to bring this often-overlooked issue into public view and inspire collective action to protect vulnerable children from exploitation and abuse.

If you know of a child engaged in domestic work who is experiencing exploitation or abuse, please contact Maono Africa through any of our social media platforms or visit our offices at Dandora Post Office Building, Phase 3.

Learn more about the realities of child domestic work and efforts to protect affected children here:

Together, we can build a future where no child is exploited and every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and reach their full potential.

💙 Every child deserves a childhood.
