The team was incredibly blessed to spend two wonderful days in the Maasai Mara. The breathtaking scenery and incredible wildlife were a beautiful reminder of God’s amazing creation.
This time away provided an opportunity to rest, reflect, and simply be still in God’s presence.
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” — Psalm 19:1

Friday and Saturday were spent at our annual weekend retreat at Brackenhurst with the Kariobangi children. This special time away strengthens the bonds we’ve built—not only with the kids, but with one another as a team.
We filled the weekend with games, laughter, delicious meals, worship, singing, dancing around the bonfire, and of course... s’mores! ❤️
As Saturday came to an end, there were so many tears as we said our goodbyes. These moments remind us that God is so good. He brings people together from different parts of the world, reveals His love in powerful ways, and creates friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
We are incredibly grateful for every moment and every life He continues to touch.

Tuesday - 2nd day in Mathare- A day of more JOY! The team went to visit Joy school - more dancing, play time and songs. We threw a beach themed teacher appreciation party to honor the teachers and staff of the MCO. The afternoon was filled with laughter, smiles and more dancing. The teachers walked away from the party with a large food basket filled with items and love. And the team left with a full heart.

Monday - A day filled with service - eyes to serve and hands to learn. We started the day being greeted with dancing, flowers and smiles. We walked down the valley in Mathare slums, visiting the students of 4B school as well as a home to hear what life is like in Mathare. We returned to the MCO church to pack 900 food baskets to distribute to their student parents in the community. The day was filed with so many moments of Jesus and His loving heart.

Sunday was an incredible day spent at the Kariobangi Children’s Home. Music, laughter, and smiles filled every corner of the home as the children proudly welcomed our team and eagerly showed us their rooms. It was a joy to see the love and pride they have for the place they call home.
Tie-dyeing shirts is always a team favorite, and this year was no exception! We can’t wait to see everyone wearing their colorful creations next week. It was a beautiful day filled with joy, connection, and unforgettable memories.

The last two days of the trip were just wonderful and filled with God’s goodness. The team took the kids from Kariobangi up to the tea fields for an overnight retreat. We spent hours outside playing games, laughing, and simply having a blast together, so grateful for the joy and connection God placed among us.

On Saturday, all 60 of us headed to a high ropes course — and we all ziplined! Flying high over the beautiful landscape, we couldn’t help but marvel at God’s creation. It was the perfect ending that only He could have orchestrated.

Goodbyes were hard, as such meaningful, God-knit friendships had formed over our time together. We left with full hearts, thankful for the ways God moved in each of us this week.

Tuesday, the team returned to Mathare, spending the morning at Joy School and celebrating the 100 incredible staff and teachers of MCO. The children had so much fun playing games and enjoying their day together.

In the afternoon, the church was transformed with Valentine decorations—red and pink everywhere you looked—as we hosted a special lunch for the teachers. There was joyous laughter everywhere, full bellies, and love shared all around. 💕

Monday was a wonderful day spent serving in the Mathare slums. Our team had the joy of spending time at 4B School, visiting classrooms and being surrounded by the sweetest, most joyful children. Their smiles and laughter are something we will never forget.

We were also welcomed into two beautiful homes — sacred spaces filled with resilience, strength, and grace.

The afternoon was spent packing food bags with beans, rice, maize, and a bar of soap. Later, we distributed the food bags as families stood patiently in a long line, waiting with hope and gratitude. What may seem simple to us is truly a huge blessing for these families.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve and to witness such faith, hope, and joy.

Party at the Kariobangi House! 🎉

Today was such a special day at the Kariobangi Children's Home. We spent the entire day simply being together — playing board games and pool, tie-dyeing shirts, braiding hair, shooting hoops, singing songs, sharing lunch and cake, dancing, and laughing nonstop.

It was one of those beautiful days where joy filled every corner of the room. More than anything, we pray each child felt seen, celebrated, and deeply loved — and that they experienced the love of God in a very real way through every smile, hug, and moment shared. 💛

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐲𝐚 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐢! 🇰🇪

All 11 team members — and 26 large, checked bags filled with supplies, gifts, and lots of love — made it safely. Our hearts are full of gratitude and anticipation as we begin this week of serving on the ground.

We are so thankful for your prayers, generosity, and encouragement that helped get us here. We carry your love with us as we step into this community, ready to serve, to listen, to hug, to pray, and to share the love of Jesus.

Let the beautiful week begin. 💛
