We are grateful to the Kenya Red Cross for supporting Refugee Voice and Action (RVA) with LEGO play materials and children’s tables. This support is very important to RVA because these materials create opportunities for children to learn, play, develop creativity, build social skills, and feel safe and supported. However, RVA still needs ’s sitting mats or floor for children's activities.
(protective structures/storage spaces) to keep these valuable materials safe, clean, and protected from weather and damage, as well as to provide children with safe, clean, and child-friendly environments where they can play and learn.
We welcome partners, friends, and well-wishers who can support RVA in strengthening these spaces for the children of Kakuma.

Empowering Women and Girls in Kakuma is investing in stronger families and a safer community. Through Refugee Voice and Action (RVA), we support women and girls with awareness and skills in Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention and response, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), child protection, safeguarding, and meaningful decision-making at family and community levels. When women and girls are informed, protected, and empowered to participate in decisions affecting their lives, families become more resilient and communities are better equipped to prevent violence and promote dignity, equality, and wellbeing. We welcome partnerships with organizations, donors, and individuals committed to advancing the rights and empowerment of refugee women and girls in Kakuma. Together, we can turn protection into opportunity and empowerment into lasting change.

Investing in women is investing in stronger families and resilient communities. At Refugee Voice and Action (RVA), we are committed to empowering women and women-led groups to build sustainable pathways toward self-reliance and dignity through savings groups, livelihood initiatives, entrepreneurship, and mutual support. These initiatives enable women to strengthen their household income, respond to family needs, improve access to food and other basic necessities, and reduce vulnerability to food insecurity and economic shocks. We believe women are not only beneficiaries of development—they are leaders, entrepreneurs, caregivers, and agents of change who can transform their families and communities when given the right opportunities, skills, resources, and supportive partnerships. RVA welcomes collaboration with humanitarian and development partners, donors, government institutions, private-sector actors, and other stakeholders who share our commitment to women’s economic empowerment, sustainable livelihoods, food security, and community resilience. Together, we can move from dependency toward opportunity and build a future where every woman has the chance to thrive.

RVA warmly thanks RCK for visiting Refugee Voice and Action (RVA) and for taking the time to explore a meaningful partnership with us. We are excited about the opportunity to work together in GBV prevention and response, women and girls’ empowerment, MHPSS, youth engagement, and other community-based interventions.

We believe that strong partnerships can create safer, more empowered and resilient communities in Kakuma. We look forward to learning from each other, combining our strengths, and turning this shared commitment into meaningful action.
