🩸 Happy Father's Day! 🩸

To every father, grandfather, and father figure in our community today we honour you.

Fatherhood is protecting without being asked. Providing without keeping score. Showing up, again and again, simply because it matters.

To our O Negative dads especially; you carry that same spirit into the donor's chair, giving life twice over: at home, and through your blood. Salute! 🌟

Happy Father's Day to every father in our O Negative family. ❤️

🩸 Happy World Blood Donor Day! 🩸
Dear O Negative Foundation Kenya Members, Donors, Partners & Friends
Every year on this day, the world pauses to honour an act that costs nothing yet means everything: the gift of blood. This year, the World Health Organization (WHO) invites us all to reflect on a simple but powerful truth: "One Drop of Humanity. Give Blood. Save Lives."

At O Negative Foundation Kenya, this theme is not just a slogan but it is who we are.

As O Negative donors, you carry the universal blood type. In hospitals across Kenya, when an emergency arrives and there is no time to test, it is YOUR blood that is called first. Every caesarean section. Every road accident. Every child with sickle cell. Every surgery that could not wait. You showed up even before you knew who needed you.

Today we say a heartfelt THANK YOU. 🙏
✅ To every donor who has ever sat in that chair and rolled up their sleeve
✅ To every member who has recruited a friend, a colleague, a neighbour
✅ To every family that has cheered a loved one on
✅ To every medical professional who makes every donation safe and dignified

You are not just donors. You are proof that humanity is still alive and well in Kenya. 🇰🇪

Let today inspire someone new to take the step. Share this post. Tag a friend. Encourage someone in your circle to find out their blood type and consider donating. The need is real, it is urgent, and it is every single day.

Together — one drop at a time — we save lives. ❤️

Some babies need blood even before they are born!

Today on World Alloimmunization and HDFN Awareness Day, we remember the many families facing Hemolytic Disease of the Fetus and Newborn (HDFN), a condition where a mother’s antibodies attack her baby’s red blood cells during pregnancy.

For some babies, survival depends on a lifesaving procedure called
Intrauterine Transfusion (IUT), where blood is transfused to the baby while still in the womb. At O Negative Foundation-Kenya we donate lifesaving O negative blood to support mothers whose babies need IUT and by doing so we give a baby another chance at life before birth.

We are proud to stand with partners like The Allo Hope Foundation to increase awareness, improve screening and support families navigating alloimmunization and HDFN.

Awareness saves lives.
Blood saves babies.

Today the O Negative Foundation-Kenya have bid farewell to our brother and hero Andrew Nyaga.

Since joining us in 2021, Andrew faithfully donated blood three times every year, using his rare O negative gift to save lives. He gave quietly, consistently, and selflessly, offering hope and second chances to many he never met.
Though we grieve his loss, we celebrate a life that truly made a difference.

Rest well our hero!
Your legacy lives on. 🕊️
