"Baba," she whispered, voice trembling. "I failed. I lost everything."

Her father took her hand, his eyes filled with love. "No, my daughter," he said softly. "You came back. That is all that matters."

*Helina (not her real name) left home with dreams of securing a better future for her family. A promising job in the Gulf turned into a nightmare—long hours, inhumane conditions, and a life of fear. She was trapped. Months passed in suffering until she finally found a way to escape and come back to Kenya through the support of a partner organization.

She returned home, broken and defeated, only to find her father weaker and their family land still under threat. She had left to help, but now, she was the one in need.

But Helina’s story isn’t over. With the support of HAART, she is beginning the long road to healing—fighting for justice, rebuilding her life, and reclaiming her family’s dignity.

You too can help!
âś… Donate to support survivors like Helina with legal aid, medical care, and reintegration.
âś… Share her story to raise awareness about human trafficking.
âś… Advocate for stronger protections for migrant workers.

Every voice, every action, every bit of support makes a difference. Let’s stand with Helina and countless others who deserve a second chance.
