🚨 BREAKING NEWS — FATAL ROAD ACCIDENT 🚨

A petroleum tanker has reportedly exploded into flames following an accident near Paul Boit Secondary School along the Eldoret–Webuye Highway.

Several people who had reportedly gone to collect fuel have been burned beyond recognition, while others have sustained severe burn injuries.

The situation is extremely tragic and concerning. Emergency responders and security agencies are urged to move swiftly to the scene, evacuate those at risk, and provide urgent medical assistance to the injured.

⚠️ Motorists and members of the public are strongly advised to keep away from the area and allow emergency teams to operate safely.

🚨 SAFETY CONCERN AT THE PORT OF MOMBASA 🚨

Container handling and the safety of people working around container areas at the Port of Mombasa remain a major concern.

Today’s incident occurred at Block C this evening, less than three months after a similar incident in which a container fell onto a truck.

The recurrence of such incidents raises serious concerns about container handling procedures, equipment safety, and the protection of truck drivers and other workers operating within the port.

We urge the relevant authorities and port management to urgently review the circumstances surrounding these incidents and strengthen safety measures to prevent further injuries, damage, or loss of life.

Safety must remain a priority in every container-handling operation.
