CHAIRMAN MEETS THE DRIVERS – NAMANGA EDITION 🇰🇪🇹🇿
We successfully held the Chairman Meets the Drivers – Namanga Edition, bringing together long-distance drivers, conductors, clearing agents, and other key transport stakeholders operating through the Namanga Border.
The engagement provided a platform for drivers to openly share the challenges they face while using the border and the wider Northern Corridor. We discussed issues affecting driver welfare, border operations, communication, security, delays, documentation and the need for better coordination among stakeholders.
One of the key outcomes was the strengthening of communication between drivers and relevant authorities. We also emphasized the importance of drivers being organized so that their concerns can be properly documented, represented and addressed.
As LoDDCA, we remain committed to taking the voice of drivers to the relevant authorities and ensuring that the men and women behind the wheel are not left behind in decisions affecting the transport industry.
