THE CENTRE FOR FRENCH TEACHING & DOCUMENTATION (CFTD), KENYATTA UNIVERSITY, NAIROBI, KENYA GOES VIRTUAL !
CFTD which partners with the French Embassy in Kenya, Kenya Association of Teachers of French (KATF) & the MOE took this step due to the challenges posed by COVID-19.
The Director of the Centre, Dr. Milcah Chokah flagged off the online teachers' in-service programme on Monday 16th November, 2020. The sessions are based on modules. This is one way of equipping teachers of French in Kenya with vital knowledge and skills despite the challenges ocassioned by the COVID-19 pandemic. The sessions are on till 11th December, 2020. The Chairperson of KATF Mr. Peter Nzuve, his Deputy Mrs Leah Chibole, & the Secretary General Bonface Lidahuli will be on board this week starting 23rd November. Ms Julie Briand, the attachée for Education and French together with Ms Mélanie Vial, Project officer for Education, French and Cultural programmes at the French embassy in Kenya, together with other partners will be invited to grace the closing ceremony. This programme is sponsored by the French Embassy. The trainers are experienced educators in teaching French as a Foreign Language with more expert training sessions in France.
