Je rends hommage à toutes les femmes qui contribuent de manière inestimable au succès de notre association: celles qui dirigent, celles qui enseignent, celles qui paient leurs cotisations, celles qui participent aux webinaires.
Vous êtes la preuve que le français est vivant au Kenya, et je serai toujours reconnaissant.

THE CENTRE FOR FRENCH TEACHING & DOCUMENTATION (CFTD), KENYATTA UNIVERSITY, NAIROBI, KENYA GOES VIRTUAL !
CFTD which partners with the French Embassy in Kenya, Kenya Association of Teachers of French (KATF) & the MOE took this step due to the challenges posed by COVID-19.
The Director of the Centre, Dr. Milcah Chokah flagged off the online teachers' in-service programme on Monday 16th November, 2020. The sessions are based on modules. This is one way of equipping teachers of French in Kenya with vital knowledge and skills despite the challenges ocassioned by the COVID-19 pandemic. The sessions are on till 11th December, 2020. The Chairperson of KATF Mr. Peter Nzuve, his Deputy Mrs Leah Chibole, & the Secretary General Bonface Lidahuli will be on board this week starting 23rd November. Ms Julie Briand, the attachée for Education and French together with Ms Mélanie Vial, Project officer for Education, French and Cultural programmes at the French embassy in Kenya, together with other partners will be invited to grace the closing ceremony. This programme is sponsored by the French Embassy. The trainers are experienced educators in teaching French as a Foreign Language with more expert training sessions in France.
WEEK 1 TRAINING (between 16-20 November, 2020)
Our teachers were taken through the sessions by our expert trainers:
Dr. Vincent Were and Ms Eshery Munala.
The programme for the rest of the sessions to follow shortly.

Face à la crise sanitaire 2020, la KATF et ses partenaires ont du réinventer et mettre en place différents programmes en numérique. Pour la durée restante en 2020, nous vous proposons les programmes suivants:
1. Stage de l' Université de Franche-Comté du 16 au 20 nov. 2020 pour les enseignants du reseau FLAAP subventionnée par l'Ambassade de France et co-organisé avec la KATF
2. 3 stages CFTD à l'Université Kenyatta du 16 novembre au 11 décembre 2020 subventionnée par l'Ambassade de France et co-organisé avec l'Université Kenyatta et la KATF

Attention: *Plateforme annullée*
La plateforme IFprofs prévue le 6 nov. 2020 à l'Alliance Française de Mombasa. À revoir en 2021.

Faced with the 2020 health crisis, the KATF and her partners have had to reinvent and implement various digital programs. For the remaining period in 2020, we propose the following programs:
1. In-service course by the University of Franche-Comté, financed by the French Embassy and co-organised with KATF from 16th to 20th November, 2020(meant for teachers ofFLAAP)
2. 3 CFTD in-service training sessions at Kenyatta University financed by the French Embassy and co-organised with Kenyatta University and KATF from from 16th November to 11th December, 2020

Attention: *Platform canceled*
The IFprofs platform scheduled for 6th Nov. 2020 at the Alliance Française of Mombasa. To be reviewed in 2021.
